Hey you guys.
I just watched the new Elvis biopic yesterday. I loved it. Back in the early 2000s when I was a teen I was huge into Elvis and this movie brought much of that back. Austin Butler played Elvis just perfectly. He was casted perfectly and looks the part!
After Bohamion Rapsody and Rocketman Elvis is the next big Hollywood biopic of famous music stars.
What would be your wishes for a Tripple A Hollywood movie of the Beatles? Who should direct, who should play the fab four? What should the movie cover in terms of timeline and story.
In BR Freddy was the center of the movie. Could it be John in a potential Beatles flick?!
Peter Jackson revealed another Beatkes project in the works working together with Paul and Ringo. Could this be the big Hollywood production?!

Id be happy if they cover at least the time from Paul joining the Quarrymen to the day John said he’d quit…
Iam looking forward to your ideas and guesses!

I very much doubt there’s an official Beatles biopic being discussed. To get all the permissions needed for an official career-spanning biopic would be horrendous. I cannot see Paul, Ringo, Yoko and Olivia finding a script they could all agree to, and if they could, it would probably be a very anodyne telling of the story that would please few fans.

Pricilla and the Presley Estate were able to be convinced and I’d say that they are just as protective of their IP was are the Beatles people.
We will see. This topic is speculation of course 🙂

Getting a mother and daughter who generally accept how their ex-husband and father is viewed is easy compared to getting four families to agree to a portrait that there are often large disputes over whose memory was/is the most truthful.

It reminds me Sinatra’s biopic by Scorsese which will never see the light of day because of this issues. (Even though I understand the family’s point of view)

Didn’t know this was being planned!
Considering the potential amounts of $ that a Beatles biopic would make, I can imagine it happening in a sadly post -Beatle world, after Ringo, Paul and Yoko have left this earthly dimension. If it were somehow made today, with Baz Luhrman helping, doing for the Beatles what he did for Elvis, I’d probably go see it with a gleeful, sole intention of wide-eyed hate-watching, just cause I love The Beatles and movie screens both so much.

I couldn’t stand a Beatles biopic with hip-hop, trap, rap, reageton whatever new style in the soundtrack as it happens with the Elvis one (or as in the Great Gatsby). I barely tolerate what they did in Backbeat.

It’d be great to see what he could do with all the Maysles Brothers documentary footage of February 1964. There’s bits of audio that are kinda unintelligible with crosstalk, and possibly the negative has deteriorated.
