OH YEAH!!!!!! DAY JUST MADE!!!! Sorry, got a little excited there. To the Georgie Loves Jellybabies people, and to Penny. Congrats on your future post status, by the way.
"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that."
"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Thanks for the update Inner Light! I was just wondering about that recently.
All we need now is for Mark Lewisohn to finish his damned book already!!
EDIT: Just Pre-ordered this and the re-release of Ram . The month of May is gonna rock!
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

It’s also my 18th birthday! I’m sure that’s really the main source of everybody’s excitement.
I think it's great you're going through a phase, and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple of days

FINALLY!!! God , I want this.
(Okay, maybe it’s a Canadian thing, but seeing Canada in a BB thread title has gotten me slightly patriotic now. Thanks for mentioning us, Inner Light!)

A bit late, but still pretty exciting. I actually made my mom get HBO just so I could see it, and we still have it recorded. Not that anyone cares, but yeah

Totally get what you mean, Sun King . I get a weird queasy feeling when I read about or see a Canadian too.

I watched this again last night…enjoying different parts each time…
George has always been quite funny…two of my favorite parts are when he is talking about writing his first song, “Don’t Bother Me “, he says …” I thought that if John and Paul can do it (write songs)…then everybody must be able to.” lol
And also the joke about how many Beatles it takes to change a lightbulb…four.
Despite all of the talk about George being labeled “quiet” and then later, “weird”…overall he seems to be the one of the four who once he got thru the trauma of Beatlemania, was able to form the most close, lasting friendships with a huge variety of people, work with almost anybody with drama, as well as the one who worked the hardest at producing good work, instead of just putting stuff out. The comparison between his first post-Beatles work, and that of John, Paul and even Ringo, is unbelievable.
I also really enjoyed the part where he watched “This Boy ” video with friends…he was very good-natured about it and not at all disparaging. Just overall a good film to watch over and over…loved his postcards and letters to his mom, from the road, as well.

I am watching Living In The Material World , now.
Paul say that when George met John for first time , he played ” Raunchy ” , and then after Paul’s talk , We hear that song.
Did Quarrymen(or The Beatles) ever perform and release that song ?

Funny, I was thinking about this film (which I haven’t seen) just two days ago, when I was watching “GoodFellas” – I’d seen it many times before, but forgot that Scorsese used a bit of “What Is Life ?” in that long coke-paranoia/helicopter scene (along with the Stones, Who, Harry Nilsson and I forget who else.)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
