Upon further review…
I was thinking about my post from yesterday when I thanked those who have seen it for not spoiling it. My new thought is, am I being selfish? If I saw it, I'd certainly want to discuss it.
Therefore, I feel that if I don't want to know too much about the film before seeing it myself, it is my responsibility to avoid reading about it.
Sorry if I have inhibited anyone from sharing their thoughts.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Not at all, Zig! I know how long we've all been waiting to see the film, and I actually think it'd be selfish of me to then talk about all of the highlights. I was just lucky to be able to see it first, and I don't think it'd be fair to ruin it for everybody else just because you're not from the UK! I honestly don't mind.
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

I got sent two DVDs last night (the normal film and the deluxe content, apparently), plus a couple of promotional blue/watery plectrums. That’s my weekend sorted, then.
Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon

1. I agree with Zig’s post yesterday, not his addition of this morning. Thanks for letting me not know.
2. I would just buy the UK DVD, however the cross-Atlantic Shipping is probably astronomical, on top of customs and the rest of that lot.

Shipping for my Deluxe Edition was pretty high at about $35.00 but I am getting it in 2 – 4 days instead of 6 – 10 days which would only be around $10.00 I believe. I just didn't want it to be damaged and changing hands more than it has to. Amazon is going to ship out on October 10th and I should have it by the latest next Friday.

Don't ask me how, but I got the first part.
Scorcese has another hit. Amazing documentary. I almost cried when Astrid told the story of John in Stuart's studio.

I watched it today with Doctor Robert and some other people. The first half of the first half seems to be quite trippy, and there were a lot of jumps cuts in and out of songs. Then in the second half, there wasn't much attention paid to George's solo career- All Things Must Pass got plenty, as did Bangladesh, and the Dark Horse tour got some, but the rest was barely touched upon, and it felt like the Wilburys were only mentioned to explain why Tom Petty was there.
I told her I didn’t

Apart from Cloud 9 George wasnt that interested in the albums, caring less with each release and getting more annoyed with the music scene. Neither were they much of a success. The Wilbury's have more public interest due to the personnel and had greater commercial success.
There are gaps but that was always going to be the case with a documentary thats lasts 3 1/2 hours but has so much to cover. It could easily have been double the running time but i cant see the majority of people wanting to sit thru a 7 hour film – even if it was George.

I thought what he said was clear and understandable. Some of it was from the '95 anthology including a few that hadnt been unused or were slightly longer.
Looking forward to the bbc screening in November. It needs a second viewing and can also sky+ it.

I think my favourite part was the comment George made to Paul when they hugged at the Anthology reunion thing. (I’m not sure whether that was footage that has been released before or not, so I won’t say what it was until you’ve all seen it.)
That was my favourite part – hilarious!
Have just sat and watched the Blue Ray version including the bonus features. I've never known four hours pass so quickly.

I know *last week* it was playing at this small indie theater in town. (The same one that played Nowhere Boy last October), so I hope it's still there on Sunday. Three hours, though without a pause button! Also, a George Harrison exhibit tied into this documentary is moving into the Grammy Museum, replacing the John Lennon one they had earlier. If I can, I may try to make a complete day of it on Sunday. 🙂

Can I just say that I'm sitting here in tears? I really am. This was so well put together. George had so many people that loved him and people that he loved. His life was so beautiful. The fact that part 2 ends with Long, Long, Long is making my heart hurt. So beautiful.
Oh man I'm a mess right now. I thought it was bad when I started tearing when they talked about John's death. Streaming tears right now. But I'll be alright.
This so beats the Imagine documentary.
