Its already been released 45,000 times previously, 99.9999999999999999999 unofficial and all claiming to be the best print with superb sound.
That should read 99.9999999999999999999%.

This is the only Beatles film I haven’t watched, should I watch this?

It’s a film that has a worse reputation than it deserves, mainly because of events surrounding it. There are, obviously, moments that are awkward to watch. In places it’s like watching your parents argue, or watching them trying not to argue while making little digs at each other.
But it is not nearly as dark as its reputation suggests. And it offers a fascinating look at them as a working band, rehearsing, recording, and – with its last twenty minutes – performing on a London rooftop.
It’s actually my second favourite movie of theirs after A Hard Day’s Night .
I put a copy on @Ahhh Girl’s flashdrive when she was over here, and she avoided watching it for some time because she thought it was going to be a depressing experience watching it. When she finally steeled herself to watch it, unless she was lying to me, she enjoyed it much more than she was expecting to.
If you can get hold of it, I’d say it’s worth watching, @Starr Shine?.

I did enjoy it. It has some really, really good bits that will make you smile. The bad bits weren’t the I thought they would be.

I first watched this a few weeks ago and a few stand out parts for me was: The part where Ringo and George are working on Octopus’ Garden and John enters and joins in and its all sweet and happy then Paul walks in and it just stops and goes really awkward. Ringo with Heather is only a few seconds but very cute. And obviously the Rooftop concert.
I have a feeling my copy is missing some parts though. I’ve heard of Paul and George having a particularly bad argument, however either I missed it, it was cut or it wasn’t in Let it be and I’m thinking of something else?
If there’s all these unofficial copies floating around could we all have potentially have different versions/qualities of the film? Like one person has one scene included but another has cut bits?

If your copy is roughly 80 minutes, @StarrisonSubmarine (good to see you back), then it’s probably complete.
The argument between Paul and George you’re referring to is not a full-out stand-up row, but rather a tetchy exchange between the two from when they were rehearsing Two of Us on 6 January at Twickenham. Paul dislikes something George is attempting on guitar for it.
It ends up with George’s infamous: “Okay, well, I don’t mind… I’ll play, you know, whatever you want me to play, or I won’t play at all if you don’t want to me to play. Whatever it is that will please you… I’ll do it!”

Nevertheless, there are oddities. I just checked a random section of the movie and there’s that runthrough of Long and Winding Road just before the rooftop concert. The organ solo soundtrack doesn’t match what Billy is playing, which I never noticed before. When I look at the rooftop concert, there’s obviously lots of weird editing, but I think I’m just impressed that George plays that bloody heavy Tele for so long and makes it look easy!
edit: and that wonderful moment when John forgets the words and just gibberishes his way through and Ringo behind him just laughing.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Maybe in the year 4670 when its finally officially released just in time for its 3000th anniversary Apple will include the uncut 2 and a half hour print before a ton of material, mostly of John and Yoko, was removed.
The film’s nowhere near as bad as folk say it is.

As others have said, it’s not nearly as difficult to watch as it’s made out to be. I have a decent bootleg copy on DVD but would love for it to get a proper release again. I love this film because stuff like this fascinates me.

Anyone looking for a viewing or owning may possibly want to wander here, or not.
Edit: Hey, Paul’s eating a .
Edit #2: George looks so bored playing ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer ‘.
Edit #3: George gets shocked by his mic, others investigate, George gets shocked again.
I’ll stop here otherwise i’ll never get thru the whole film.
