A Beatles/Stones fan on another site (IORR.ORG) suggested I’d try here to ask for help on the following:
several decades ago I saw a (recorded) TV interview with John Lennon , during which he said that during the making of Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Heartsclub Band they were inspired by the Rolling Stones song “Something Happened To Me Yesterday ” (written and recorded during the late Summer and early Autumn of 1966 and on the Between the Buttons album). It was specifically the Horn section that gave them inspiration.
Does anyone know which interview it was? John had no fancy clothes or hat or so. I only can’t clearly remember wether he was wearing his round thin glasses. I promised a former Dutch Beatles fanclub chairman (lives near to my home) to help.
Thanks in advance for your help.
