(I'm sure this topic has already been discussed, but I SWEAR I looked)

But yeah, I just saw this movie yesterday, and I'm wondering what other people thought of it.

Um, I saw it about 8 months ago, I think. My Mom recorded it when it was on TV in the late 80’s. It was good, but I loved the end of the movie, when Yoko was alone. That I loved. I think now I’ll have to find that old VHS. I can’t remember that much, honestly.

In a “Mwuhahaha! That will teach you for breaking up the Beatles!” way or a “aaaaaaaah, poor Yokopaul-mccartney” way?

I told her I didn’t

It really showed the love between John and Yoko.  I liked it a lot.  Had a good soundtrack too.heart

I quite liked it. i love the interview scenes with Sean and Julian though. The first time I saw it, I cried at the end when they started talking about him getting shot. Sorry no matter how many times I hear, it always chokes me up. But it is a good documentary.

It's the reason why I like How Do You Sleep… a-hard-days-night-paul-4 sorry Paul.

I just saw this at a special showing recently (and on an IMAX screen no less!). I found it really interesting and thought the interviews with Cynthia were particularly heartbreaking. The scene’s with John and Yoko doing the bed-in’s were pretty fascinating though. I couldn’t believe the entire exchange between them and Al Capp who couldn’t have been more condescending and insulting, especially towards Yoko. The movie left me feeling a bit depressed after, but overall it was nice to learn more about John and Yoko.

Here’s the Al Capp interview:

My thoughts on Imagine …I wish I had seen it before Anthology, because it used a lot of the same footage. I enjoyed the part where the guy was tripping outside in the bushes and John invited him in for dinner.

I enjoyed that part as well. Though I can’t imagine something like that happening in today’s world!

For me the highlights are the studio jams, and I’m pretty sure you will get bonus dvds as well that have these jams on video. Nicky Hopkins is one of my favorite keyboardist ever, and you’ll get to hear real gems of his playing throughout the sessions. In my opinion it puts any deluxe release Paul ever put out to shame.

I loved seeing them record in the studio and particularly watching George playing guitar and especially on ‘Oh My Love’. That was really beautiful!

Isn’t it a bit strange that John and George who both supposedly hated ‘Get Back / Let It Be ‘ because it was being filmed, appeared doing something similar on John’s Imagine film, although it did seem a lot more relaxed.
