A good movie that not a lot of people are familiar with is Robert Zemeckis’ first film, I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It was made around 1986 and is about a group of teenagers trying to sneak in to the set or hotel to see the Beatles when they’re in NYC to perform on the Ed Sullivan Show.
I tried to find clips on YouTube but had no luck, but I know a lot of you would enjoy this fun and funny movie.

Actually I remember that pic.. it’s very good and I think you can feel identified with some of them. The ending is just fantastic!! I’m not going to spoil it…..

Ooh, GREAT movie, from the days when Zemeckis and Bob Gale were writing funny scripts like “Used Cars” and “Back To the Future” and making great comedies of them; and before he transformed himself into a hack special-FX specialist and soulless Spielberg-wannabe. “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” is just irresistable, with a wonderful cast, great music (of course) and clever ways of getting the Beatles to appear in the movie – without actually doing so. In fact it’s enjoyable enough that I’ll even forgive him for remaking “Yellow Submarine “, even if it’s as bad as I expect it to be (not that I intend to see it, understand).
(I’ll never forgive him for the godawful “Forrest Gump”, however!)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I remember seeing a movie that had a scene where The Beatles came back into their hotel room and discovered things slightly out of place because the teenage girls had been in their room. Paul said something like, “someone’s been messin’ with me bass”.
Is that the same movie?
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I remember that one! Man, it’s been years since I’ve seen it. I’ll have to see if I can find it.

I saw this movie (again) last night, and I just love it. I love how half the script calls for screaming, and it seriously makes me think what I would do if I were in that situation.
If you haven't seen it, you should. It's now on YouTube, BUT for whatever reason, the first 10 minutes are unavailable, due to copyright issues, I think.
There are actors who do the Beatles' voices, and you hear them during one hilarious scene where one of the girls is trapped in their hotel room under a bed. The voices aren't all that great, but that's such a small detail to nit-pick concerning a really cool movie.

Oh, please do, if you haven't seen it! It's such a fun movie! I don't think missing the first 10 minutes is that bad for plot development. And just…you know, that movie makes me so wish I could have been there!
There's also another scene in a hotel room involving another girl which completely cracks me up every time I see it. I can't say enough good things about this movie, seriously.

I just loved the always-wonderful Wendie Jo Sperber as Rosie! Great actress with an onscreen persona like no other, brassy and naive and a bundle of energy. She died too young (in 2005, age 47, of cancer) and is missed.

Oh Wendy Jo Sperber was fantastic! I love that bit when she sneaks into the hotel room to answer the trivia question. The whole movie cracks me up.
