Found this on youtube for anyone who wants to watch an incredibly dull movie acted terribly where Paul murders a host of classic Wings, solo and Beatles tracks alongside a few new numbers. The positive is that you can watch it all in full HD quality.
I’ve just got the reason of looking for Harry and his box since it was a reoccurring joke on the BBC shows the Beatles did in the 60’s.

‘NMLN’ is exceptional but no reason to sit and suffer thru an abomination of a movie, I’ll watch the promo instead.

I watched the film on YouTube two weeks ago. It was good. What are your favourite songs from the film? I enjoyed all of them, but my favourites are ‘No More Lonely Nights’, ‘Ballroom Dancing’ and ‘Not Such A Bad Boy ‘.

I think you are the first people I’ve ever met who actually like Broad Street – imo it’s horrific! The only good bits are No More Lonely Nights (ballad not that god awful playout version) and I also liked the dance scene for Ballroom Dancing.

The ballroom scene is cringing to watch as a dreadful fight breaks out, no one looks like they are getting even slightly bruised.
Tracy Ullman is appalling by the way, her crying is some of the worst you will see.

Exactly, the over-the-top dramatics is one of the joys of the terrible film! I really want someone to bring it up in an interview with Paul, he always gets praise thrown at him but some brave soul needs to bring up Broad Street.

I recall an interview with Paul around the time of its release where the interviewer commented, “It’s no Magical Mystery Tour , is it?” I don’t think Paul responded.

What I like about it is that the conflict in the plot is so nonexistent. He has to find some tapes by midnight. And that’s an excuse to have a bunch of different music videos basically. It’s very 80s. I watch it when I want to turn off my mind.

Yes, the fight is bad. I think Tracey Ullman is funny, but I’ve never been keen on her as a singer. As you may know, Paul appeared in the music video of ‘They Don’t Know’ around the same time as the film. I always preferred Kirsty MacColl’s original version.

I think the music scenes are pretty good. The Medley with Yesterday , Here there everywhere and Wanderlust is epic IMO. I watch that scene once a month at least!
The rest of the movie…well I’d watch it for the music, Paul, Linda, Ringo and George Martin.

I watched this tonight and I really enjoyed it! After everything I’d read about it I thought it was going to be terrible, but I unironically liked it.
Pretty much all of the song versions were so-so. But I thought the film was really engaging and interesting. Like getting a video of someone’s actual dream where they were processing some pretty big things in their life. The threatening music executives! The scene where he was emotionally distant from his Dad. The determination to think the best of a friend.
It’s a keeper for me.
Though I grant you, Tracey Ullman’s crying is pretty terrible.

I saw it on TV once but haven’t really had the urge to rewatch. I do have the album as part of the McCartney Collection and No More Lonely Nights would have to rank up there with his greatest so it’s not all bad.
