On this week’s Fab Files we take a listen to what is my personal favorite solo album from a Beatle, as well as the first solo Beatle album I ever purchased: George Harrison ‘s 1976 album 33 1/3. Released on the Dark Horse label, 33 1/3 is an album that flew under the radar when first released, but all these years later, it still sounds fresh today as it did back in ’76, and we’ll listen to the entire album, plus we’ll also listen to a couple of tracks from George’s 1992 Live in Japan album. 33 1/3 on this week’s Fab Files Saturday May 17 at 3 PM (EDT) with a re-broadcast late Sunday May 18 at midnight (EDT) exclusively on WETS HD2. See the very first post in this topic for info on how to pick up the show online! And now Fab Files is on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/FabFilesonWETSFM

@WETSRoosa I’m finally home on a day to listen, I’m very excited! Also, just wanted to let you know that you might want to fix the link at FB. It’s leading to a blank page.

Glad you’re able to tune in. Weird about the FB page; I just clicked into it from the Fab Forum and it works just fine.

Right, that one’s fine. Then I tried to find the actual streaming link at the About page, and the one you have there is what’s leading to a blank page. This one.

On this week’s Fab Files we replay one of the show’s first episodes as we listen to the best covers of Beatles songs that I could find. There are millions of Beatles covers, and many of them quite good, and we highlight the best of them this week, with covers coming from the likes of Joe Cocker, the Brothers Johnson, Frank Sinatra, Nickel Creek, and more. Best Beatles Covers on this week’s Fab Files Saturday May 24 at 3 PM (EDT) with a re-broadcast late Sunday May 25 at midnight (EDT) exclusively on WETS HD2. On this week’s Fab Files we go the opposite way from last week’s show and feature the strange, the bizarre and the worst Beatles covers of all time. Cringe with horror as beloved Beatles classics get put through the shredder from wayward covers by the likes of William Shatner, Keith Moon, Tiny Tim & Brave Combo, Mrs. Miller, and more. Worst Beatles Covers on this week’s Fab Files Saturday May 31 at 3 PM (EDT) and late Sunday June 1 at midnight (EDT) on WETS HD2. I like Tiny Tim’s Nowhere Man and Girl. Is it one of those? I can’t hear your show unfortunately due to timing issues.

Tiny Tim’s “Girl” could be the soundtrack of a horror movie!!!!
He sounds like a psychopath!

All right, I teased it a little while back, said that I had conducted a huge interview for the show, and after a few weeks of holding on to it (with only @Ron Nasty & @Into the Sky with Diamonds knowing who the special guest was), I can now share it with you all.
On this week’s Fab Files it’s the first of a two-part series of episodes as recently I conducted an exclusive interview with Lizzie Bravo, who in early 1968 got whisked into the studio to provide backing vocals along with Gayleen Pease on “Across The Universe .” Lizzie talks about that eventful day in Beatle folklore, but she’s far more than just a footnote to history as she talks about being in London in the swinging ’60s, what got her to go to London in the first place, what the Beatles were like, their impact in Brazil and so much more. Lizzie Bravo- The Interview, Part 1, on this week’s Fab Files Saturday June 7 at 3 PM (EST) with a re-broadcast late Sunday June 8 at midnight (EST) only on WETS HD2.
