an early technique in Beatles movies is the idea of suspended reality. In the way in A Hard Day's Night the boys switch from playing cards to playing I Should Have Known Better – in Another Girl the instrumentation switching is part of the same teqhnique.
Dick Lester was the main proponent for this – the band loved the idea.
It seems rather passe today, but in it's day it was rather groundbreaking.

One of my favorite McCartney songs along with 'The Night Before '. I am still hopeful he will perform these live someday.

They aren't really supposed to be playing their own instruments, they were just messing around. And if you watch, Paul plays a girl, John plays the drums, Ringo plays a guitar, and George ends up playing Paul's and John's guitars! It was all just a bit of fun.
"Hoop? That isn't a hoop, It's a lethal weapon, have you got a license for it?" -Ringo

This video NEEDED to be in full-colour just as the Can’t Buy Me Love clip needed to be in b&w! They’ve all had their consciousness expanded since the previous Beatles romp and have accordingly abandoned their monochromatic suits for more casual wear, and don’t those blue jeans / blue shirt combos look stunning against the blue ocean! And the experiments in different filters and lenses are pretty psychedelic themselves.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
