Offline an early technique in Beatles movies is the idea of suspended reality. In the way in A Hard Day's Night the boys switch from playing cards to playing I Should Have Known Better – in Another Girl the instrumentation switching is part of the same teqhnique.
Dick Lester was the main proponent for this – the band loved the idea.
It seems rather passe today, but in it's day it was rather groundbreaking.

This video NEEDED to be in full-colour just as the Can’t Buy Me Love clip needed to be in b&w! They’ve all had their consciousness expanded since the previous Beatles romp and have accordingly abandoned their monochromatic suits for more casual wear, and don’t those blue jeans / blue shirt combos look stunning against the blue ocean! And the experiments in different filters and lenses are pretty psychedelic themselves.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
