It’s not real life. It’s scripted, a movie, a fictional version of The Beatles. They are playing themselves but NOT playing themselves, dig?
Yep which is why I can create a different backstory for moviePaul than realPaul.

I think you are quite good at it. That is why I bestowed that title unto you.

Who is Shake talking to when he says “What’s a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?”
I am you as you are you as you are you and you are all together.

I surely hope so – had thought of that before. Then, I wonder why that would have been the only poorly filmed portion of the movie. If that really was the case, one would think Richard Lester would have caught that and requested another take. Makes no sense.

Speaking to someone who is out of frame. *shrug*.
And yes, that’s the “Zap!” hair dryer @ 2:31.

My father sat down with me watching this today. While I saw it for the millionth time he saw it for the first time. He often laughed especially when john was playing in the bath (one of my personal favourites) and when Paul was interviewed about his father. We had quite a good time watching it and my dad left the room humming on some of the songs from the film.
I remember the first time I saw this one I couldn’t tell the boys apart

My mother and I got my kid sister to watch this film a few days ago. I had to basically recite half of the script for her because she couldn’t understand their accents, nor could she tell them apart at first. She was also horrified and offended by the state of George’s eyebrows, which was hilarious. At least we got some good laughs out of the whole experience!

@meanmistermustard So, I was noodling around the Beatles Bible site on a sleepy Saturday afternoon and stumble upon this post. An hour+ later, I’m in the best mood of the week! Didn’t even know this gem existed. Thank you so much for making my day!

Woke up too late to catch the film when it was properly aired on BBC2 earlier today, but I just finished watching it on iPlayer, and I can safely say that upon this second viewing, it’s shifted MMT down to my second favourite of the Beatles movies! It’s been the best hour and 30 mins of my Christmas holidays so far!
