Who cares whats popular. Popularity comes and goes. But high quality is always in style!
Indeed and if the measure of whether or not a film is worth watching is because its in colour then whoever is doing so needs to get their brain recharged. Its an argument that doesnt deserve to be entertained beyond

Are you saying that colour photography-or-lack thereof is irrelevent to a film’s quality?? I really have to disagree there.
If the technology really exists to (accurately) convert monochrome film/videotape footage to real-world colour, and people want to apply it to the Beatles, then why not do it to ACTUAL documentary footage, like the Maysles’ chronicle of the NYC arrival, or the Ed Sullivan broadcasts, or any of the other scads of b&w Beatles film in existence? I can appreciate the intellectual arguments for doing so in such cases, since (one of) the purpose(s) of documentary is to capture real life, and real life exists in colour after all. This is why I never had a problem with the colourized “All You Need Is Love ” performance document.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

No. I’m saying to judge a film entirely on whether its good or bad simply on whether or not it is in colour is stupid and not worth discussing with morons who think otherwise.
Just the thread name is enough to make my skin crawl. *shudder – the horror, the horror*

Good – glad to see it’s not just me who feels this way.

The thread title gives me pause though not for the same reason as you.
