I have a signed copy of this book! I won it in a competition on Sounds of the Sixties on BBC Radio 2.

It's a good read from an insiders point of view.

I've got a copy but I haven't read it all yet. I bought if for a couple of quid when Virgin/Zavvi were going out of business last year. The bits I've read, mainly around the 1966 tour and Candlestick Park were very interesting.

Barrow's a bit of a forgotten figure these days, but he was all over the early LPs and EPs with his sleeve notes – they must have made their way into millions of homes around the world (though mainly in the UK).

Read it Joe! If I recall its one that doesn't boast “The Beatles were my bestest buddies and I did this and that etc which changed history”. Unlike Emerick Wink

I also read this one and recommend it.

From what I've read (which isn't everything), Barrow does the best job of analyzing the 65-66 Beatles, like the Elvis meeting, Phillipines and Epstein's fade.
