Just finished reading this and really enjoyed it. Easy read as it is 150 short chapters. If anyone else has read it, what was the point of chapter 148?

I found where we discussed this book briefly when it was published. On this page https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…../page-188/ starting with post #3749

I read this book quite a while ago, but have had another flick through before I lend it to a friend. I found this to be one of the more enjoyable Beatles’ books, and the short, varying chapters makes it easy to read, despite it being a pretty hefty volume.

Although Brown seemingly read every single book ever written that references a Beatle, he gives a special mention to @Joe ‘s book in his sources:

Particularly useful have been two works dealing with more specialist aspects of The Beatles: You Never Give Me Your Money : The Battle for the Soul of The Beatles by Peter Doggett, a wonderfully clear survey of their complicated finances; and Riding So High: The Beatles and Drugs by Joe Goodden, an equally clear survey of their equally complicated drug lives.

The author also gives this website a glowing reference:

The Beatles Bible strikes me as the single best source of information on all aspects of the Beatles: often, after I had patted myself on the back for discovering some particularly arcane fact, I found to my irritation that it had been in The Beatles Bible all along.

In case it isn’t said often enough, thank you, @Joe for your tireless work on this site. It’s a joy to be a (very small) part of it.

The following people thank kelicopter for this post:

Richard, Sea Belt, Von Bontee, Ahhh Girl, Rube, Joe

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days
