People are discussing “revelations on every page” as I type this.
It’s now time for me to stop reading any thread about Lewisohn’s book because I don’t want anyone to give anything away. Maybe other people can come to this thread and here we can talk about not reading those threads and commiserate with each other. We can talk about anticipating receiving the book in the mail, or how we received it in the mail and haven’t read it yet, or how we felt when we held it in our hands, and we can enjoy not sharing anything about the contents.
I may not even start reading the book when it comes in the mail, because I’m reading Anthology and You Never Give Me Your Money right now anyway…so there may be a lot of months and weeks of not reading anything about this special new book.

Here, here! I won’t be reading any revelations either. I want to wait for the book.
I just finished reading Anthology and Many Years From Now and I’m half way thru You Never Give Me Your Money ! I guess we are on the same “reading list”!

Well, I guess I have to read Many Years From Now, then. How are you enjoying You Never Give Me Your Money ? I must admit some of their hateful antics toward each other were really funny. I chuckle quite a bit while reading it.

LOL I am enjoying it. Yes, some of their antics were pretty childish/goofy weren’t they? I’ve had a couple chuckles myself.

I won’t be reading anything either, but is this worthy of its own topic? How much can we really say about avoiding a particular thread? If enough of you say that you want this then I’ll leave it, but I think this should be deleted. Sorry. We can’t have a thread for everything under the sun.

It has little to do with lack of sense of humour, Expert. There has been a discussion going on about what to do post-publication. It is there for all to see in the running thread. Despite a couple of hints about content from Joe in that thread today, it has been agreed that the running thread will be left to those who want to continue discussing their wait, while another thread, that is already up and waiting for it’s first proper posts (“The Beatles: All These Years by Mark Lewisohn. Tune In – What do you think? (Spoilers alert!)”), will be where discussion of the book for those who have it will take place.
So, you see, it is not a lack of sense of humour, but that this thread serves a purpose that has already been answered, which will leave this as a thread that dead-ends.
And you can rest assured that any post appearing in the general thread about the books, by me at least, will be moved to the Tune In discussion thread. We will do all we can to avoid spoilers in the general thread.

No worries, Ex Tex.
At times, it can be difficult to keep up with how many threads are being started. There are a few in the Forum who were thinking along the same lines you were…”great minds” and all that.
At first, I was thinking “why do we need 578 threads to discuss the same book?”. Then, I realized a spoiler thread is a good idea.
So, I will not delete this thread, but rather lock it, with a link to the spoiler thread mja mentioned above.

Nah, it’s OK. This thread seems to be about what to do if you’re waiting for the Lewisohn book. No spoilers, chat away about other books. Carry on if you want!
