Bit of shameless self promotion, but I myself have a classic rock fanfiction blog. Here’s all the Beatles one’s I’ve written.

Basically these are all one shots between you and whoever, so whenever a character says your name they say “Y/N” because it’s meant to be talking directly to you, if you get what I mean.
"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

Not slash I like Gen story’s with no Main OC people. I would want maybe something that looks into the psychology or a fic where they are trying to break free from the crazy fan girl/boy that is writing a terrible Beatles fanfic.
Hello {waves} Newbie here! I am a HUGE fan of the Beatles since I was little and my mum would play all the songs. Once I learned my way on a computer I made the fab discovery of Beatles fan fics and I have been hooked ever since.
Annadog40 – I see that you’re requesting a fic that is just about the lads, right? I saw that this author was mentioned in an earlier post but das liebchen kind has a fantastic one that you might enjoy. {just I had to go back and make sure I wasn’t just repeating someone else’s recommendation! But I’m not, that poster recommends her fic “True Love Ways” which yes, is just incredible!}
But the one of hers that I recommend if you don’t want to read slash, which I don’t think she writes anyway, or nonslash with an OC in it. The fic is called “Tanz Mephisto” and it only has the boys and the people that were part of the circle, like Stuart, Neil, Mal, and Brian, and so on. It is like no other fan fic out there and is seriously brilliant! Without giving too much away, it is a retelling of the Beatles story but with a twist. John does something while they are in Hamburg to make sure they get all the fame and success they come to have. Its really more of a novel than a typical fan fic, but be warned, once you start reading, you won’t want to stop. I spent an entire weekend reading it, and it was bank holiday weekend too!
While you’re on her website, there’s a couple of others you might like. One is called “The Road Not TRaveled” that’s about what would have become of the Beatles if they had never gotten famous. It’s soooooo good – and a lot shorter – lol! The other is called “The Reckoning” and while it has an OC, it’s not a love story but more of a suspense story with the best ending in fan fiction history! Really, she has several fics that are just fantastic – many are complete but she also has others she is still working on. (Edited – sorry for any confusion caused by the original posting of this paragraph – my format skipped as I was typing it!. Hopefully it makes more sense now).
WHen you’ve finished reading her fics, she includes a page where she links other people’s fan fics that she recommends. All of her fics are found on her website and it’s http://www.dasliebchenkind.com
Her stuff was recommended to me on another forum and I was so glad so I hope I’m passing on the favor!

Offline I’d like to promote a few of my stories.
At First Sight – Is my first foray into het Beatles fan fiction. It’s a George centered story. During his first trip to the States to visit with his older sister Louise and her family. He meets a young woman and falls hard for her. The question of whether or not their relationship can last when Beatlemania occurs is the overall them of this one. It’s completed.
The Nearest To My Heart – During the Beatles Christmas show concert dates they strike up a friendship with their co-liners the Debutantes a up and coming black girl group from New York (Loosely based on the Ronettes). Paul and John both find themselves interested in the lead singer and budding songwriter, Charlie ‘Tilly’ Tillman. Will friendship turn to love with Paul or John and will society and the demands of the lads fame ruin things before they properly begin? This story is also completed.
Words Of Love – Is a sequel of sorts. Taking place during the events of ‘The Nearest To My Heart’, but it’s George centered story. Romance blossoms between George Harrison and Annette Grant of The Debutantes, a member of a black girl group from New York (Loosely based on The Ronettes), during The Beatles Christmas Show. This story has been completed.
Not Fade Away – Is my first attempt at writing a Ringo centered story. Ringo Starr , a young man from the Dingle, one of Liverpool’s poorest and roughest neighborhoods has made a good life for himself. A steady gig with Rory Storm and the Hurricane’s, a car and money in his pocket. He’s feeling restless though. Will befriending Joan Cohen, a young woman of mixed race, change the course of his life? This story is still a work in progress, but a prologue and two chapters have been posted.
‘All Those Years Ago‘ is a story I co-wrote. The story of John and George’s relationship over the years, one year per chapter, basing ourselves on the facts we all know and then filling in the blanks at our convenience. It was suppose to go until 81 or 82, but my writing partner dropped out, leaving the story incomplete at 1977.
I’d also like to suggest some writers people might enjoy checking out. Dasliebchenkind is a very imaginative writer of Beatles fan fictions. Some of her stories taking on a darker but engaging tone. My favorite story of hers is ‘The Reckoning‘ a Paul centered story that warns against the dangers of using others. I don’t want to give anything away, but if you’re interested in reading something off the beaten path it’s work checking out.
Another writer who has plenty of stories to choose from is MissODell. She recently finished, Razzmatazz a John centered story that jumped back and forth between present day 1963 and late 1950s scenes. A young woman reappears in John’s life, causing him to reflect on his past and the choices he’s made.
One more I’d like to recommend is a Maureen centered femslash story. ‘I Saw There Standing There‘ – Focuses on one young fans desire to meet Ringo Starr , but she ends up becoming close to Maureen through circumstance and a relationship develops between the two young woman. It’s only ten chapters, but a good read.

I think it’s because that’s common in fanfiction in general. The O.C. is often an idealized version of the author, and it allows them to live out a fantasy without inserting themselves directly into the story (this kind of story is often called a Mary Sue, named after a Star Trek parody fanfic featuring one such namesake).
In the case of the Beatles, it gives the author a chance to imagine living in the ’60s right there in the center in the universe.

For me, I write stories that I’d like to read. I noticed that there wasn’t a great deal/if any Beatles stories were the OC was a woman of color. I wanted to explore that. Although, I think your explanation of the female OC makes a great deal of sense I don’t personally write with myself in mind.
