AppleScruffJunior, you have to consider the label: it’s VJ!
This is the low-level company that couldn’t make a go of the Beatles before Capitol did.
They specialized in awful covers. Have you ever seen Introducing The Beatles?

I still have my original copy, and it’s as nauseating today as it was xxx years ago.

LOL, yes, those and the others at Beatles LOLs are funny, but I was referring to the idea of Paul randomly strolling by with his guitar and joining the Quarrymen onstage… and John just letting that happen.

Well we all know that teenage John Lennon would have let a random (apparently cocky) stranger walk up onto his stage and just join in with his band without warning or invitation…oh wait a second

I just remembered an error in a book I was reading not too long ago (I don’t remember what the book was called).
It showed this picture:
But the picture was turned around for some reason, so John was on the far left, etc. Now, it would be understandable if the caption was the reverse of the picture in the book and the same as the above image… but instead of “Paul McCartney , Ringo Starr , George Harrison , and John Lennon ,” which would be backwards in the book and correct otherwise, it said “Paul McCartney , George Harrison , Ringo Starr , and John Lennon .”

Trying to find an obscure date of a Beatles release and found it in all places ‘The Beatles Encyclopaedia’ by Bill Harry (1992 edition) but realised that whilst there are entries for both Beatles For Sale EP’s there is nothing on the ‘Beatles For Sale ‘ album! The order igoess ‘Beatles EP’s Collection, The’, ‘Beatles For Sale (EP)’, ‘Beatles For Sale (No. 2)’ , ‘Beatles’ Hits, The’.
How on earth can a book omit one of the 13 core albums?

Its a Scottish word meaning “consists of”.
Seriously. I was doing three things on the net at the same time, trying to find a book with a date in it, and trying to get up the road, plus my computer was having a go slow moment. I took my eye off the ball and made a mistake. I would like to apologise to all on the forum for such a shocking overlap and promise that it might not happen again.

Was reading the first edition of the The Beatles Book magazine (the official one they put out in the ’60’s) and in their get to know the band articles on each one they had George 4 months older than Paul.
There has always been the debate on whether George was born on the 24th or 25th, was there a debate on the year as well or was this just your normal errors?

I’ve never read of anyone getting his birth year wrong anywhere else, so it’s probably just a mistake. Don’t they correct it in the next edition? I think so.

Johnny Dean corrected it in the editorial of the second edition: “IT HAD TO HAPPEN!! But you’ve got to admit that when we make a mistake, we make a nice big one. YES, we did get George’s age wrong in his feature. We’ve got a large book in the office labelled ‘Beatles Facts,’ in which we list all the details about the boys. George’s birthday was incorrectly put down as 25th February, 1942, when of course it should have been 1943. Many apologies to George, who IS the YOUNGEST of the Beatles.”
