I was wondering what some of the best Beatles-related comic books were.
Also, has anyone else read “Baby’s In Black – The story of Astrid Kirchherr & Stuart Sutcliffe.” I saw it in B&N last year and I thought it was nicely done, but was not written by Astrid. Here is a link to it.

Ah the graphic novels, I want to get Baby’s In Black for Christmas but it looks like a new edition is coming out in 2014 so I’ll probably wait until then.
I haven’t read any of these but here is another graphic novel you might like:
The majority of Beatles-graphic novel do not seem to be well received though :/

I don’t know anything about comic books, but this collection looks really cool:

Take a look at that “Little Annie Fanny Meets The Bleatles” and note the mismatched names! (All except the always-recognizable Ringo, of course.) I wonder why Kurtzman didn’t bother to give them individual fake names like “Gorge” or “Bingo” to go along with altered band name? I actually used to own the magazine that that comic originally appeared in (in English), an old 1965 issue of Playboy that I found while visiting grandparents and appropriated for myself. (Hey, I was a teenager…)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I just read Baby’s In Black . I love it. It’s a tear jerker. And I love how it pays homage to Elvis as well.
The book was created with input from Astrid. It’s a nice love story and made me appreciate that part of Beatles history a little more.
Highly recommended.

I own it, but have yet to read it. Good to see it has ET’s recommendation.
