Dear Beatlemaniacs, I have a problem and I hope you can help me find a solution to it…
I’m going to England soon and I plan on catching up with some beatle books unavailable in Poland and, well, generally expanding my collection. But, even after reading through this forum, I’ve still got some dilemmas, as I don’t have money to buy everything
– on song inspirations, backstories – “A hard day’s write” or “Revolution in their head”?
– on recordings – Lewisohn’s “Recording sessions” (or maybe you would recommend “Chronicles” more?) or two parts of Winn’s “Recorded legacy”?
– on Apple – “The longest cocktail party” or “You Never Give Me Your Money “?
– from “insider guides” – “All you need is ears” by George Martin, “Here, There And Everywhere ” by Geoff Emerick or “With The Beatles ” by Alistair Taylor?
– from Whitaker albums – quite a new one by “LIFE”, “Unseen Beatles” or “Eight Days A Week “?
– is “Love Me Do ” an interesting position?
is buying some of these books useless if I’m planning on buying whole Lewisohn’s trilogy?
I’m looking forward to your answers… and thank you in advance

I’d broadly agree with the chjoices, although I’d go for Chronicle rather than Sessions, and (if you can get it) perhaps Tony Barrow’s book (not Tony Bramwell’s) instead of Martin/Emerick.
Not sure what you mean by “is Love Me Do an interesting position?”
