Today, I saw someone with a T-shirt that said ‘Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango’
I had to immediately think of @Dark Overlord.

Funny you sat that Martha because I don’t really like the operatic section of Bohemian Rhapsody, I think they should’ve went from the ballad section straight to the rock section.
Here’s 7, the same age someone born in 1957 would be when The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, which you will need to know if you want to easily navigate through Joe’s history section:
1. When you get out a thing of mustard and can’t help but think about meanmistermustard.
2. When you feel the urge to cry after reading a post that says you did something wrong on this forum.
3. When all you can think about is your “Beatles friends”.
4. When you wake up and all you want to do is go on the forum, which happens to me everyday.
5. When you feel the need to apologize for being off the forum for a couple of hours.
6. When you’re in Walmart and you go on the display computers and go on the forum.
7. When certain BBers remind you of certain things, such as:
Ron Nasty and tea
Silly Girl and Pink Floyd
Necko and fun facts
WeepingAtlasCedars and Led Zeppelin
HMBeatlesfan and people you wish you were
The Hole Got Fixed and Australia, as well as youthfulness
Starr Shine? and immortality

I walk past The Hotel Busby every day on my way to school, makes me sad.
On my way to school And all the time I thought of Matt,
I passed Hotel Busby
I could see everything
From the sidewalk.
How far away his posts did seem
How could he have so many dreams,
And one of them not come true…
Eh, sorry, that got dark…

After you delete a whole thread you lose the fear of doing something wrong.

That thread surely shows the teamwork and sense of community this forum has (naturally I didn’t contribute a single post to it…in my defense, it was recreated in an astonishingly quick time and by the time I got there, it was practically done!)
Well done BBers!

If you can actually delete threads, why you guys tend to lock them instead, even the most stupidest ones like Paul VS George on bass are locked rather than deleted.
Deleting something is permanent, whereas a locked-thread can easily be reopened if a valid point can be made.
That, and deleting things raises the whole question of censorship and such on the forum, and that always stirs the soup.

Three reasons, there will be more.Generally locked threads started off as a normal thread discussion before getting a little tangled so there remain valuable posts contained within.
Generally locked threads started off as a normal thread discussion before getting tangled and off-topic or endlessly repetitive so there remain valuable posts contained within.
People take the time to contribute with their posts and to wipe out whole threads for the sake of one or two is disrespectful to them.
Deleting posts is a last resort and only applied when it’s spam, offensive, a mistake (ie a duplicate and/or in the wrong thread), a clean-up of the thread (eg asking for a post to be moved rendering the request unnecessary after the post is moved or becomes massively off-topic) or the original poster contacts Joe and requests for the post(s) to be removed. Or when a mod presses the wrong button.

Or someone starts a duplicate thread and a mod doesn’t get to move the posts before Google indexes them. If Google grabs them first, the BB takes a hit if the posts are moved because it causes broken links. Then we lock and redirect to the matching thread. Or when a mod presses the wrong button.

Deleting causes gaps which makes old threads harder to read.
