This scene might actually have happened. Although there’s an Otis Redding LP next to our stereo, not a Sam & Dave one (true). Thanks for posting that!

No, but you can make web pages into apps on apple products. I refuse to, but whatever.

I’ve thought about a proper iOS app, but this week was quoted £10,000+ in developer costs for what I want to do. So it ain’t gonna happen unless I win the lottery.

£10k for an app? Bit steep.

Joe, if i ever start playing the lottery and then win a fortune i will give you the cash to get the app up and running.

That was a general quote from my boss, who makes iOS apps in her main job (she’s with us temporarily). I could probably get it done for less but it’s still not worth the effort.

Maybe when your mom says to you :Don´t you get bored just talking about everything Beatles with other Beatlemaniacs? And your simple, short answer is NO.

And also maybe when you´re going on a really nice holiday and you´re looking foward to it until your realise that that means that you won´t be able to take part in the discussions for 8 days.blue-meanie

Perhaps when you talk so much about the Beatles that your mother has to admit that she hates the Beatles?

You join the Forum many years after it started and wonder how long it will take to go back through previous threads to “catch up”. I’m having a blast so far.

…oh, yeah, and the non-forum information also.

Yeah, I once was a newbie here myself — now I’m as weathered as an old salt at sea, YARRRR! (but even so, I’m occasionally reminded how relative that is, when I see some members here who go back several years).

If you stumble on the

The “Incredibly Impossible to Derail This Thread” thread

and get sucked into reading its 200 + pages, you’ll never escape!

I’ve seen some of it. Wow. Yeah. I’d have to be homebound due to some illness (please no) for several weeks to get through that one.

I have found that catching up like this, I can really see personalities that have developed and connections that have formed. Very nice people here. As I mentioned in my last post to the “re-introduce” thread, in my younger days, I would never have thought there could be nice people on a Beatles forum. I was raised to believe you people would be evil incarnate. So glad I’m past all that now.

You’re now one of us people, so maybe we are evil and we just don’t know it…?

Or we do know it and all of this is a ruse to entice people him. We have the very man Satan himself here, that should be a clue.

Actually, that’s very true. We must be evil if we mix with Satan. a-hard-days-night-ringo-6
