It's funny you say that. I noticed the same thing about them when I watched Paul McCartney 's Gershwin Award ceremony at the White House. They played Drive My Car with Macca's band as backup and there was still no passion at all eminating from the stage. That was the first time I had seen them perform and thought maybe they were just nervous.
I had the misfortune of having to chaperone my little cousin to a concert. It was horrific. I could appreciate why the whole Beatlemania thing threw the Beatles off. The only thing similiar between the Beatles and the Jonas Brothers is that horrible, high pitched screaming. I would have listened to that rather than the music, mind you. God the Jonas Brothers are awful live… Awful in general.
And thanks Joe, that's me fixed I reckon

My mum just introduced me to ELO. It was like the Beatle epiphany all over again.
God I love that woman

BAD:
Justin Bieber- It honestly took me a month to realize he was a dude considering his voice and the cover of his single One Time. I'm pretty sure he's wearing lip gloss in that picture. It also took me 2 months to learn he wasn't 9 years old.
Jonas Brothers- They were never so popular that I took any notice to them. Although the Hello Goodbye cover probably made John and George turn in their graves. :*(
Glee- No talent, Rachel can't sing she just squeeks. Their covers of Hello Goodbye (why does everyone cover that) and Imagine almost made me stop listening to The Beatles. Also in real life they would stand no chance as a choir bc they replaced dancing with skipping and bouncing and their vocals sound amaturish. Btw i heard they got the rights to do a Beatle Episode. SHOOT ME
GOOD:
The Beatles = MY LIFE!
Shwayze- Not very popular so the people who let the radio decide what they like won't overplay and kill their music.
Other than that I judge music by the song instead of the artist

I like most music. The only bands I don't like are most of the big popular tween bands. Can't stand Justin Bieber, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and others like that. But I do like Glee for some reason. I'm guessing it's mostly for the story lines and not the singing. But the singing isn't that bad, I just think that the main characters are not the best singers.

I will admit that the storyline to Gleeis funny as hell and I have watched a few episodes and I loved them. But the musical numbers still piss me off.

Glee is a fantastic TV show. My problem with them is the same problem I have with musicals. I don't like people bursting on a song in a movie just like that, so I haven't watched it much. My nephew loves musicals and he watches it all the time. And to be honest, I like a very few musicals, like West Side Story or Gigi, and some good ole MGM musicals, like Singing in the Rain .
The Beatles movies is another story.

I kind of feel the same way. But since I go to a school where people sometimes will burst out in random song, (I know sounds super unrealistic? But it is the truth!) so I sometimes don't find it unrealistic.

Oh it's very normal to hear students in high school singing. My students love to do that. My only problem is when it's done in a movie.

I don't know if it's already be covered, but what do people here think of Oasis? They basically based their entire career on the Beatles.
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Oasis… one of those bands that I think I have listened to a lot.. but actually.. I haven't.
Some of their music is good.. but that business of “We're as good as the Beatles” is a total turn off for me.
BTW I think this topic is quite fitting to share that I got tickets for the U2 360° Tour in Mexico City next year.
And something really WEIRD happened. I've always wanted to go to a U2 concert. I lost my chance twice, (in PopMart and Vertigo Tours) and that was horrible for me. But after watching Paul's concert… I mean, I never thought I was going to be able to see a Beatle in concert, (and what a concert!) so these days when I was checking if I had enough money to get the tickets… I was like “Ok well… whatever. I saw a Beatle anyway”. I just knew I wasn't going to feel bad for not going.
