I can't say that I hate any band – I either listen to them or I don't.
As far as genre's go, I'm not a big fan of Country – which is kind of odd for a Beatles fan when you consider how much of their early music was influenced by Country/Skiffle.
Another Genre I could do without is Rap. I've heard it referred to as “street poetry”. I suppose you could consider it to be, but I'm OK without it.
Maybe we could combine Country and Rap and call it CRap.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

LOL!! Zig, you made me google “country rap singer” and believe it or not … there are some songs featuring country and rap singers.

Hehehe, “CRap”!
Me, among the things dissed so far, I like prog and classic metal and jazz fusion too. And I used to like enjoy rap, but hardly at all since its “golden age” of 1986-92 ended.
Oasis I thought were pretty bloody awful. They could've been alright if they had a single decent singer.
Opinions are wonderful things, aren't they?
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

By classic metal, do you mean groups like Blue Oyster Cult (the old, old stuff like Cities on Flame), Deep Purple, etc..? If so, count me in.
One of the wildest concerts I can remember was some local band (used to live near Albany, NY) followed by Pat Travers, closed out by Rainbow. At the end of the show, Ritchie Blackmore smashed his guitar to bits and ran amok on stage stabbing all of the amps with what was left of the neck. That was 30+ years ago.
As George would say, “we had fun in those days”.

I mainly try to stay away from the music most of my class mates like. The guys think there all street and thug. ie. rap. And the girls… they like rap too. and they like little boys who think they can sing ie. justin bieber.
Speaking of Bieber… I saw a difference between him and the Beatles. That the Beatles fans didn't throw them bottles.
(that was terrible but oh God how I laughed when I saw that)

BÖC were gods! One of my favourite bands ever thru their entire first decade. Ditto Sabbath and Purple (and Sir Lord Baltimore and and all the rest. All Nixon-era metal (when it was still frequently referred to as “acid rock”) rules!
Basically, my interest in metal largely ended around the early '90s, when Dave Lombardo left Slayer and all that “Cookie Monster” vocal nonsense (which should've begun and ended with Lennon's “Hold On “) came to the fore.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Maybe it's because the Beatles were influenced by country, but didn't play much straight-up country. And they didn't have the accent that (for me) makes country so dang irritating.
That made me think of a YouTube commenter: “How come when British people sing, their accents go away, but when Southerners (in America) sing, their accents get worse?” That made me crack up.
Rap drives me insane. It's kind of hard to sing harmonies on rap.
CRap? That cracked me up too. I probably should have seen it coming. 😀
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Oh my God – “Cookie Monster” vocal nonsense – that is too funny. I know exactly what you are referring to.
Now, everytime I reach for the radio dial after 2 or 3 seconds of hearing that type of singing, I'll be laughing my butt off. Thanks.

Thanks for getting my day off to a great start. I'll be laughing to myself all day.
I think I've lost you two keyboards so far.

Right! My brand of humor is not for everyone. I appreciate the subtlety with which that has been relayed to me so far.

Actually, the count is 1 dress shirt with tie and 1 keyboard. I'll collect next time I visit my friends in AZ.
