Love songs like that! I thought I was a British Invasion expert, but the Scaffold got by me!
Comprising Mike McGear (Paul McCartney ‘s brother), poet Roger McGough and comic entertainer John Gorman, the Scaffold have had three major hits in the UK:
Thank U Very Much (#4 in 1967), Lily The Pink (#1 for four weeks in 1968), and Liverpool Lou (#7 in 1974).
They also composed and performed the theme tune to the popular television comedy series The Liver Birds, which aired from 1969 to 1978, and again in 1996.

Happy 8th BBB, @sigh butterfly! Thank you for all your posts and pictures on the forum; I particularly appreciate all your inspired ideas for the games and your extensive research for Georgemas this year. Likewise, I also appreciated your continuing posts during the lockdown stages, which helped to brighten the situation.

Thank you, @Richard!! I’ve reached a decade of Beatles fandom!! They, and this Forum, have brought so much color into my life. Thank you, @Joe, for helping me on my journey to learn about the Fab Four!
A decade of Beatles as seen on the date August 20…
1960: Live: Indra Club, Hamburg
1961: Live: Hambleton Hall, Liverpool
1962: Live: Majestic Ballroom, Crewe
1963: Live: Gaumont Cinema, Bournemouth
1964: Live: Convention Center, Las Vegas (interesting read: https://www.beatlesbible.com/1…..las-vegas/ NOTE: I’ve let Joe know the video on the page is no longer available)
1965: Live: White Sox Park, Chicago (The most expensive ticket to this concert was $5.50. That’s $53.37 in today’s money.)
1966: The Beatles’ Cincinnati concert is postponed (major league rain delay that was!)
1968: Recording, mixing, editing: Yer Blues , Mother Nature’s Son, Etcetera, Wild Honey Pie (touring is behind them now)
1969: Mixing, editing: I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
