The reason @parlance dropped off the Forum apart from occasional visits is that she became uncomfortable with having revealed her real life identity publicly to Forumpudlians when she linked to several responses, including interviews, following her fan-video for Paul’s “Appreciate”. She felt there were people she couldn’t trust with that information, unfortunately – and much to my regret – I was among them.

Word has reached me that you call my name…
Sorry folks. Had some mental health problems over winter which saw me lose a lot of motivation for most things – posting here included. This mostly subsided as winter finished, but that coincided with the end of uni semester which meant I was then flat out with assignments. Now I’m on summer break, and the weather is slowly improving, my world is Getting Better all the time – and hopefully should mean more time spent here

Great to see you back. You’ve been missed. Thanks for appearing as soon as you were summoned.
I hope you’re starting to feel better. I know from experience “it’s only a condition of seeing things that way”. Which isn’t dismissing mental health at all. I’ve gone through a melancholy patch lately and frankly I’m still in it. I’m sad/nostalgic about the 90s and my childhood. And where my life is now. Staying busy and exercise helps take my mind off things, even if it’s still there. Posting here even helps, even if it’s only a short period of my day.

The warmer weather is helping a bit, although there’s not been much of it. Metropolitan Melbourne (along with many other places in Eastern Aus) flooded a few weeks ago and it sounds like it might happen again this weekend*, so haven’t seen too many blue skies.
*which is particularly
for me, as my dad and I are going away next week to do some bushwalking. Won’t be much of that with the torrential rain forecast!
It seems like a lot of people have been in a particularly bad patch lately – and sounds like for similar reasons too. It does also seem like as a consequence, a bit of a wave of more people putting their mental health as a priority than before – and that can only be a good thing.
Anyhow, great to see you all again, glad to see some familiar faces.
