There are always negative or untrue portrayals of certain countries that are nowhere close to how they really are. Its the same for all, if not nearly all, countries.
My geography is terrible by the way, really really shockingly pathetic. I dont know a lot about Iran or many many other countries.

I have no idea and I don’t pretend to. To me, people are for what they are, not for where they live.
Edit : What I try to say is, coming from a country where people are considered fat lazy people sitting under a cacti with a huge Sombrero, (and now drug dealers) I don't stereotype other countries.
I saw a beautiful movie named Persepolis. It truly moved me to tears when I saw it, because my Mom just passed away when I did.

Yes, it's a nice movie. It's about middle class of Iranian Society.
But it never was released in Iran.

I don't really know much about Iran to be honest, but in fairness, most people don't know a lot about Wales (Other than the fact that there are loads of sheep here)
are there many sheep indeed.? :> I've always thought there're tones of them in Scotland – and there are – but Wales go along with bearded, giant viking-looking guys on dragons to me. have you got furry cows like there are in Scotland.? they're awsome. hehe. ooh, and Mark Wiliams – my dad's fav. snooker player!

I’ll probably be less poetic then Mith, but here goes:
Probably 95% or Iranians are normal people. The problem is is that people like Ahmedinejad make Iran seem like this insane place, which I have to presume is false. People aren’t inherently crazy because of their homelands. If they were, our lovely Mod (and all around great person) Mith couldn’t post. I hope, hope and hope more that Iran can be free of a man no one wants.

Aw guys thank you.
This makes me feel wanting to learn more about Iran. I'm checking the release of The Separation on DVD in here.
So how do you get your Beatles music? You download it?

Wales and New Zealand have the two highest sheep-to-people ratios in the world.
There aren't many hairy cows in Wales, those are mostly Highland Cattle which live in Scotland (as the name implies).
I told her I didn’t

Scotland drew 1-1 with Iran in the 1978 World Cup Finals. That was the year Scotland went believing we would lift the world cup as part of Ally's Army. Amazingly we didnt.
