I want to read that. I don’t know where I’ll get a copy from…
May I suggest your local library. If you ask nicely, they generally will order it in for you.

I checked it out from the library myself, actually.

I just started Lord Of The Rings (I attempted it years ago but got bored and gave it up) and I am really enjoying it As for my motivation to try it again, all I’ll say is that lot of Led Zeppelin songs are suddenly making much more sense now.
Also, Frodo Baggins is an INFP personality type, just like I am.

I used to be INFP, now I’m INTP.
I read The Hobbit and LOTR in middle school. I always thought The Hobbit was better.

^I hated The Hobbit when I read it (about 3 years ago). I should probably give it another go but ugh. Haven’t touched TLOTR because of it.

I would try The Hobbit again just to see, but if you didn’t like it, I bet you probably won’t like LOTR at all.

I really should like it because practically all modern day fantasy is Tolkien-inspired but I’ll give it another go in a few years when I’ve got everything else read on my bookshelves

And by that point I’ll probably have gotten the band a record deal, and we’ll have done at least three LPs and several world tours!

I am also an INFP! I love the Hobbit and TLOTR with all of my heart.

He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Hey! I’m also an INFP! Though I detest The Hobbit (I over-anaylsed it in English, and fantasy isn’t my thing), so I haven’t attempted TLOTR.
Who here likes Lord of the Flies?

I saw a movie adaptation. It was entertaining.

Maybe I should try Lord Of The Rings once again too if it provides a better understanding of Led Zeppelin, that’s a very temting prospect.
Currently I’m reading an audacity handbook I got as a present from my siblings. I absolutely love it!

Maybe if I get in touch with my feelings again I can rejoin the INFP club.
You mean the non existing INFP club because introverts are not capable of forming clubs anyway?
By the way, concerning Lord Of The Flies, I really don’t like that book because my father made me read it when I was nine since it was such a classic. I got nightmares back then but maybe I should try it again once as I don’t know much about the content anymore and well I bet nowadays I wouldn’t find it that scary anymore.

I read it a few years and I quite enjoyed it. It was a very good character study.
For anyone who’s read Hubert Selby Jr., I didn’t really like Last Exit To Brooklyn- the short stories were fine enough because they were only about 14 pages long, but his long tales about Harry and Georgette, JAYSUS. Every story had to have a sex scene and for some it was suitable like Tralala but Harry giving his wife multiple orgasms, was it really necessary? Or as a debut novel, did he just want to make his ‘mark’ and get people to notice him? I have no problem with sex scenes in books but the fact that every story had one made it seem almost gratuitous.
I still have ‘Requiem…’ to read but ugh if it’s similar to LXTB it’ll be the last HS Jr. that I’ll read.

Funny you mention that, i remember how in school i was supposed to be reading this book. Instead i just looked up the answers on the internet.
Anyways, it’s not that bad but i prefer Planet Of The Apes, which is very similar to Lord Of The Flies.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.
