 New Year’s Resolution maybe?

I have a load of books to read on the bookshelves so my reading is going to be busy for the year.

Currently reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. Enjoying it so far, it’s supposed to sort of convey aspects of jazz music in writing. Now I’ve not heard much jazz, but from what I’ve heard about it, I think he succeeded.

It’s taking me ages to read because my copy is a thick book with small print (don’t we all love them a-hard-days-night-john-2?), I’ve been reading it for 3 days and I’m only about 100 pages in because I’m reading too late at night so I only get about 30 pages read and then I collapse (my own fault I know). But I’m loving it! ASJ loves herself some Steinbeck- great author so he was.

I‘ve recently contacted the author of the book Fab about John Lennon through Goodreads and he offered to give me a chance to beta-read it for free. When I read it, I’ll let everyone know how it is and provide a link to my review! I also plan on recommending this site to the author.

Still soldering on through Foote, I’m up to the exciting part where Grant has surrounded Vicksberg, and went off on a two-day bender because sieges are boring. Terrific stuff. Foote really has a way of bringing the various generals to life, they’re such a weird collection of people.

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I’ve wanted to read that for awhile, but I still haven’t.

I got this for Christmas and I’m finally reading it, alongside the film book.

Part of a book that in one chapter goes into anxiety and ways to get thru it. Quite an interesting read and hopefully will be helpful.

Not got very far. Not getting work shifts and don’t enjoy the job so torn between just letting it go or keeping going. You really need to care about the job when in Care. So i’m fretting as hoping to speak to my line manager. This is what I need to work on. ahdn_paul_01
