To go along with my last statement of:

If it weren’t for Donovan, there’s an incredibly high likelihood that I wouldn’t have yet discovered the poetic genius that is Bob Dylan. And at this point in my musical journey, life without Bobby seems…dull.
I found a Bob Dylan meme on the internet a few minutes ago that I thought was worth sharing. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but found it funny nonetheless.

Sometimes you just need to put the iPod on shuffle. Currently playing Marwa Blues by George. Such a beautiful song.
Also, can anyone who has a pretty good sense of my music taste help me out with something? I got a new phone, and I’m going to put maybe 200 songs on to it (if that many even fit on it). I need some help on what to put on there. Anybody willing to help? (I’ve got 1337 songs on my iPod which I keep with me, but I want a smaller version on my phone.)

Every lover of contemporary/indie folk music should be aware of the band Fossil Collective. Here’s a little taste: I have been absolutely obsessed with this song for the past couple of weeks.

Wicked Game by Chris Isaak. The guitar sounds incredible, so damn gorgeous, one of the most beautiful ive ever heard (Here, There And Everywhere would be up there with it), and the way its sung…

That is a cool song – I saw him in concert when he opened for The Allman Brothers Band in 1989! That was their 20th anniversary tour and the first Arizona concert I went to after moving there a month earlier.
Right now, listening to B.B. King’s “The Thrill Is Gone”.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

You should look up the band, they’re called The Beatles. I think you’d like them.

Doesnt help that they have been over exposed and commercialised.

My iTunes is in a serious Fleet Foxes mood. The last five songs have been by them, which is crazy when you take into consideration the fact that I have about 2,000 songs and Fleet Foxes only has two albums… Shuffle is making a good decision.

You a Springsteen fan, Mr Sun King ? What do you think of the new Wrecking Ball album?
Oh, and I’m listening to Little Richard, Rip It Up.

Stevie Wonder — Superstition
My 40th (!!!!) High School Class Reunion is next year, and I’ve been posting a “40 years ago” song on our class Facebook page each Friday morning. This is today’s entry.
Stevie was 22 when Talking Book was released. Consider this: his first album came out 10 years earlier. Oh my!
Personally, I like Wrecking Ball better than any of Bruce’s albums since The Rising, maybe even a little better. Good album. I’m very much wishing that I hadn’t missed him on this tour.
It's gotta be rock and roll music if you wanna dance with me
