You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Unbelievable. I LITERALLY started playing that song as I clicked on this thread. Wow.
"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that."
"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Shuffle-play just served up two Beatles-related songs in a row! Yoko's “Extension” (from Season of Glass)
…followed by “Free John Now” by The Up, recorded live at the '71 “John Sinclair Freedom Rally” (where the Lennons also performed, of course. Along with Stevie Wonder and many other luminaries.)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

That album cover makes me puke. Really, Yoko? Really?
BoT: The Walk – Mayer Hawthorne (it sounds so 70's, just great. Von, take a listen – you'll really enjoy.)

Yeah, that LP cover choice was questionable at best.
Hey! Shuffle play just delivered “I Call Your Name ” to me, right in the middle of typing this! Such a wonderful tiny thrill whenever a random Beatles track pops up to accompany my Beatlebibling – and a fairly unlikely occurrence it is, too, considering that Beatles stuff probably makes up no more than 1% of the contents of my little Samsung.
(And thanks for the Mayer Hawthorne recommendation! Allmusic writeup is intriguing indeed – -I’ll def. have to check him out.)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I was a bit shocked by the Seasons of Glass cover too at first, and it's still a disturbing image to me, but it might be her way of coping. You know, putting it out there. And it is a very moving picture, which acts as a sort of painful artistic protest. I wouldn't do that myself, but I think I understand why she did.

I think youre right Seaglass. The cover, and some of the songs as well, was Yokos way of coping with Johns murder. Looking back it is a very hard-hitting cover but i can understand Yoko's reasons for doing so. The pain was raw and she didnt want the world to forget how John had died.
Many Rivers To Cross – Nilsson.
