Haha, listening to satellite radio just now, when a song begins, and it’s got an intro that’s *obviously* taken from “Eight Days A Week “, minus the fade-in. I immediately wonder who the band can be, take a look…and find out that it’s none other than…

I know, I know, they recorded many amazing things over the next decade; but honestly, in some ways this debut is my favourite album The Who would ever make. Nicky Hopkins’ piano on select tracks adds a lot (only session man to record with the Who, Stones and Beatles!)

I just discovered Angel baby by Rosie and the originals, thought it was so cool so i looked for some info about the song and found out John did a version so i had to check it out and, well, it sounds amazing. Love that John rockandroller voice with the slapback echo and his falsetto and all. And the brass sound is wild. Love it
