Not that I’ve heard anywhere close to all of Ringo’s discography in full (or physically own any, aside from the ’73 s/t); but I think this one is still probably my favourite Ringo Starr album-length statement…beautiful, soulful stuff, with heart and humour and funk (and not another ex-Beatle in sight)

I agree with you there, that’s Ringo’s best album and one of the most underrated solo Beatle works period.
Listened to All Things Must Pass and Ram today, for someone whos favorite music is by the Beatles, I sure havent been listening to it enough. Its so nice to listen to these albums and know every instrument and line backwards and forwards, but still have it feel fresh after an absence from hearing them. I Live For You has been stuck in my head all day and will be for weeks.

I have dived down into the pool that is George’s solo discography today and am happily paddling around in the depths, in remembrance of his passing on this day 22 years ago. Keeping his voice, guitar playing, songwriting, and spirit alive.
Was: This Guitar (Can’t Keep From Crying)
Am: Blood From a Clone
Next: That’s The Way It Goes
