Previous – Sexy Sadie
Current – Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell)
Next – Shout (Tears For Fears)
This song (and Shout) is going to be featured in my high schools marching show this year. So naturally, I’m binging marching songs that we are playing this season.
Marching band is important to me (I’m a nerd I know)

Thanks, I was worried about putting a non-Beatles avatar! I have to confess to loving their 90s collab, Outside: 1, but yeah the Berlin Trilogy is up there.
No worries! Our illustrious founder Joe is himself a huge Bowie fan and has a sister site called the Bowie Bible.

hell yes
Aaaanyways I’m currently celebrating the world release anniversary* of Origin of Symmetry by Muse by listening to it again… hehe… I listened to the original first and now I’m listening to the 20th anniversary remix that came out a couple years ago. I adore this album probably too much
*The “official” release date is 18 June 2001, when it came out in the UK; the world release date is 17 July; and it didn’t get released in the US until 2005 because of record label BS… but that’s too confusing and overlaps with Paul’s birthday, so I just celebrate on 17 July.

Yeah, me too, but I think he has his hands full with maintaining both of these web sites, as well as making sure this forum isn’t melting down, lol. It’s fairly tame these days, knock on wood, but it’s certainly had its moments in the past where we made Joe want to tear his hair out a bit
Anyway, if he ever changes his mind, you know I’m gonna be first in line to sign up over there

YUSS
I already listened to too much Muse today (hahaha there’s no such thing) so now I’m listening to the late-70’s/early-80’s soft rock playlist I made for my dad to make him feel like he’s 5 years old sitting in a dentist’s office waiting room again to chill a bit before bed…. currently it’s “Warm Ways” by Fleetwood Mac.

Listening to a podcast about “BoJack Horseman”, Netflix’s amazing 2014-2019 adult animated comedy-drama; the hosts just covered Ep. 4 of the second season, at the end of which Paul McCartney voice-cameos as himself, popping out of a cake at a surprise party, only to walk out complaining and muttering to himself when he finds that everyone has left the disastrous party already.

Wow, the first time I learned that there was such a thing as “BoJack Horseman” was 15 minutes ago! I’ll have to check that out.
Well, be forewarned that it’s animated, set in a satirical version of contemporary Hollywood show business, and that, yes, this satirical world is populated by anthropomorphic talking animal characters alongside the human characters…but it really is fantastic, hilarious and tragic and intelligent, even though Season One gets off to a rocky first half, then improves.

Sounds sort of like a combination of the Larry Sanders Show and The Simpsons in the 90s.

Great shows! (Though I gave up on the Simpsons forever by the 2000s)

BoJack is a very amusing show, especially visually creative, but also one of the most depressingly realistic ones. It deals with mainly heavy topics like ODs, divorce, coping with awful family history, etc. Many people who recommended the show to me just couldn’t handle the last season and never finished. If you can stomach that, you may find it to be one of the most enlightening shows to learn a lot about yourself and life from.
Agreed with vonbontee: season 1 is mediocre other than as a set up for the rest of the series.
Oh, and currently listening/watching to Phish live 2023-04-14 at the Climate Pledge Arena.
