Giving Fleetwood Mac’s 2003 album (and their last studio album to date) (and probably ever, since Christine McVie is no longer with us) Say You Will a first listen. I will listen to pretty much anything with both Buckingham and Nicks on it; without either one of them in the mix, I’m less of a fan
It’s a mixed bag but there’s plenty of Lindsey on it so I’m happy. I heard a song from their previous album, Behind The Mask, with whatever those other dudes they brought in to replace him, and I was like nooooooo I love Stevie, but if I wanted to hear her without Lindsey, I’d just listen to her solo work.

Bed of Roses, the lead single from Ian Hunter’s star-studded upcoming new album, Defiance Part 1. This track has Ringo on drums and Mike Campbell on guitar, and is about his time at the Star Club, but carries echoes of any band who played the Reeperbahn at that time. Namedrops in the song are Roy Young, The Silver Bugs , and Tony Sheridan.

Ashes, The Rain , and I by The James Gang…. but on vinyl. It’s so goodMy vinyl as no vocals on this song, purely instrumentals. I can’t find that version anywhere online, so I guess my vinyl is special.
I was so surprised when I unsealed my Hotel California album and realized that the crazed guitarist from The James Gang had joined the Eagles.

That’ll Be The Day – Buddy Holly & The Crickets
It was 64 years ago today that Buddy Holly (aged 22), Ritchie Valens (aged 17), “The Big Bopper” J.P. Richardson (aged 28) and pilot Roger Peterson tragically lost their lives in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa.

Unusual presentation a few minutes ago by Coldplay performing The Astronaut on tonight’s Saturday Night Live. I enjoyed it, a multi-layered soundscape and cool message…

Listening to some of my favorite Star Wars themes in honor of John Williams’s birthday. I think I’ll throw in some Indiana Jones and Close Encounters, too.

This is a very creative interpretation of the Topic Title @Neely. I’m going for it!!
@vonbontee I have good news on the weather front. This week the temperature has been in the high sixties (degrees), the yard is filled with red breasted robins and squirrels, the daffodils are blooming, and a huge flock of honking geese just flew over my house heading NORTH!!!

Little Feat, nice!
Not breakfast – road snacks, coffee and Timbits (ie. “doughnut holes”) from Tim Horton’s, a Canadian staple. My sister insisted on taking a picture as soon as we arrived at her house after five hours through Michigan on Tuesday.

Take Good Care Of My Baby – The Beatles
I love the reverb on this song, and the rockabilly style delay on the guitars. The song reminds me of my hometown for some reason, maybe because it’s a little bit rockabilly and rockabilly was born in Jackson, TN. Also, I was in Jackson yesterday and I never realized Paul McCartney is on the mural at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

Ever seen this? A kid approximately your age in 1959 — Larry Collins, amazing guitar work.
Wow. That was awesome. Every time I’m on stage I just feel stupid, but damn that kid owned it!
Google informs us he’s still alive, at age 78!
