I’m listening to Chemistry Tonight by Frida. It’s from her 1984 album ‘Shine’ which is her second English language solo album. The song was written by Kirsty MacColl, Pete Glenister and Simon Climie. Kirsty does amazing backing vocals.

Beat me to it!
It’s better than I thought it was going to be – unmistakably ABBA, that classic sound that has that slight melancholic tinge to it.
Never thought I’d see a day where we’d get new ABBA music, let alone a whole album – a great way to finish the week

What a day! New album from ABBA and the audio from Dylan’s first concert in nearly two years, at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee on 2 November (his last concert was at the Anthem in Washington D.C. on 8 December 2019), is already circulating!
Two new band members (guitarist Doug Lancio and drummer Charley Drayton), a massively overhauled set list (eight songs from his 2020 album Rough and Rowdy Ways – the most new songs in his set I can remember in years), and his voice in great form.
Set list:
Watching the River Flow / Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I’ll Go Mine) / I Contain Multitudes / False Prophet / Simple Twist of Fate / My Own Version of You / I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight / Black Rider / Melancholy Mood / Mother of Muses / Gotta Serve Somebody / Key West (Philosopher Pirate) / Early Roman Kings / Soon After Midnight / I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You / Goodbye Jimmy Reed
[encore] Love Sick / It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry

All of the songs on the album are fantastic.
I’m currently listening to The Day Before You Came. It’s one of their best songs in their catalogue. I am surprised it only got to number 32 in the UK singles chart.

The Day Before You Came was the final song they did in the 80s – apparently, after Agentha did her lead vocals, they all walked out the studio, only to return to start Voyage. So, quite a topical song to listen to!
As I typed that, shuffle gave me Merry-Go-Round, which was one of, if not the, first song they recorded. Cool coincidence!

ABBA became quite uncool in the 80s, unfortunately.

I don’t know that ABBA were generally ever considered “cool” at all until the 90s, after they’d been absent for a decade. (Just hugely popular.) (And talented.)
I’m playing this

I’ve got to see him. His performances are so easy, each band member with a perfectly light touch while he guides the way through.
