I didn’t know it got to Number 1 here. Kim Wilde also did a very good version for her cover album called ‘Snapshots’ in 2011. She also released it as a single.
I’m currently listening to Mrs Lennon by Yoko. It’s a beautiful song.

I had no idea Kim Wilde was still releasing music, thought she gave up in the 90s and went into gardening.
Beatles-link warning.
Robbie McIntosh, he of playing in Paul’s band, plays on ‘Sleeping Satellite’. Only just learned that.

Her most recent release, a duet with Boy George, came out at the end of June this year, @meanmistermustard.

It’s pleasing to know I didn’t know such a duet existed and I will be making no effort to ever hear it. I thought Boy George gave up after ‘The A-Team’.

‘Shine On’ is a lovely song. Their voices go well together.

She started to take a music hiatus in 1996, but released a single called ‘Loved’ in 2001. She also released a cover of ‘Born To Be Wild’ in 2002 and did a duet with Nena called ‘Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime’ in 2003. Kim released her album ‘Never Say Never’ in 2006, her first since ‘Now And Forever’ in 1995. Her recent album, ‘Here Come The Aliens’ was released in 2018.
I didn’t know Robbie played guitar on it either.
I’m currently listening to Hope Of Deliverance.

I’ve been taking a deep dive into Lennon and McCartney’s solo back catalogues. Hard to believe that after over twenty years of being a fan of their band, I’m only really familiar with their solo hits + the Plastic Ono Band, Imagine and Band On The Run albums.
Current thoughts – the rest isn’t nearly as bad as I’ve been lead to believe. I’ve listened to Lennon’s Some Time In New York City , Mind Games , Walls And Bridges and Double Fastasy – I much prefer Yoko’s stuff on STINYC compared to her DF contributions. I avoided Rock ‘N’ Roll and Milk And Honey for the time being.
I’ve reached London Town in my McCartney run.
