There’s a new volume of Dylan’s Bootleg Series on the way, Volume 16: Springtime in New York 1980-1985.
The first preview, an undocumented and unbootleged song, was put out today in full.
Can’t wait to see the tracklisting when they issue it; not only alternate takes but originals that are previously unknown, even among those of us who think we know a lot, there’s still songs you didn’t know existed.

Obviously there was some shooting, @meanmistermustard, just with a camera-phone rather than a gun.
No pictures without some shooting. But the best kind of shooting you can do.

Awwww! I love raccoons. We apparently do have them here, but unfortunately I have yet to actually to see one.
Listening to Billy Bragg’s Workers Playtime at the moment. Might put on Don’t Try This at Home afterwards.

These Duke Berlin shows are outstanding, perhaps the most innovative and inventive live music that i’d ever heard.

Listening to a lot of trip-hop lately. Massive Attack are really great –
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Just discovered this unreleased track by the late, great Jeff Buckley and Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins (aka two of the most angelic singers ever) and holy moly is it incredible..

It’s a great demo from ’94, @QuarryMan. Jeff and Liz had a brief fling after her break-up with Robin Guthrie. My friend’s band were supporting Jeff on a UK and European tour at the time, so we got to see a lot of him and Liz. I recall them recording around a half-dozen demos during those months, with only this one leaking. Think I have a tape of the two of them jamming with members of my friend’s band, Faith Over Reason, in a hotel room in Blackpool somewhere, along with a copy of their demos.
Gotta get hold of another tape player that plugs into USB so I can copy that stuff.

I’d totally understand if not, but if you ever feel like sharing the contents of your tape, you’d be doing a huge public service
