You’re just happy that Scotland have qualified for an international competition for the first time in 23 years, @meanmistermustard.
We could have been singing the reverse of that lyric for decades. Cheesy novelty song though.

In Dreams – Roy Orbison
Very close to being Roy’s best song. I find it practically flawless in lyrics, atmosphere, structure and singing.

This feels like such a great song for the last year, and for where I find myself at the moment, in some way…
…his voice is just devastating, soulful blues-tinged and gospely, with you feeling every damn word (and Pink does a great job as well). Heard him before with Human, another great song but didn’t really follow-up. Now following up, he has one of the greatest male voices I’ve heard in years, and should be much more famous than he is…
You’re missing out if you don’t give this guy a listen.

Wolf City – Amon Düül IIthey’re primarily known as a Krautrock band (that’s a genre I’m real into), but this album sounds a lot more like straight up prog rock to me
pretty spaced out psychedelic prog granted, but still
real great album if you like your tunes “far out, man”
vocals can be a bit inducing at times though
VCD, speaking as a middle aged Southern Northern Ontarian who went through quite his own Krautrock (and roll!)-phase two decades ago, have you ever heard the 1974/75 recordings by Hamilton’s own Simply Saucer?

Recorded partly in the basement studio of (recently deceased, sadly) engineer Bob Lanois, partly on the rooftop (!) of the Jackson Square mall, and it sounds as much like the early Velvets or Syd’s Floyd as any of the German bands (or Hawkwind, or Sun Ra’s electronics). Very cool!

I’ve added it to my library, will give it a listen! Right now, though, in honor of its release on this day in 1968:
