I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

This was Donna’s final collaboration with producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, and it woulda been the Queen’s third double-vinyl studio album in a five-year period…IF it had been released in 1981 rather than left on the shelf for fifteen years. Unlike the previous two doubles, there’s no storyline nor uninterrupted suites-of-song, just 18 separate tracks; mostly danceabillys with a few ballads (and a cover of “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina”!) thrown in.

Love and Affection – Joan ArmatradingWith a friend
I can smile
But with a lover
I could hold my head back
I could really laugh
Really laugh
Hmm, interesting take on romance. I think I get all my head-back really laughing needs from my friends.
Currently giving @lovelyritametermaid’s Taurus playlist a last hurrah…

Side note: In my opinion, more daring than anything the Beach Boys put out, fight me on this.
I mean, any comparison is futile when talking about the mighty sHaGgS, but cut the Beach Boys some slack, they made Good Vibrations.
“Good Vibrations” is okay I guess– but what really has me holding the Beach Boys to a higher standard is Pet Sounds.
Never listened to the Shaggs, though hmm……

They’re *different*
I’m listening to one of the absolutely, fabsolutely most FABULOUS singles of all-time! (swell video too, created two eventful years later)
