Talking Heads ’77
Talking Heads – More Songs About Buildings and Food (1978)
(as my Taurean best friend recently pointed out, this album title’s subject matter is such a Taurus mood)
Talking Heads – Fear of Music (1979)

I distinctly don’t remember wearing a suit, but I’m glad you liked it my band played it once or several upon a pre-plague time, and it was always a favorite with ourselves and our audiences (especially our Heads-obsessed wizard-friend).

I, sadly, had to pause any Talking Heads binging that I was doing because I have to c r a m for my APUSH Exam tomorrow
Sorry, David Byrne, I love you but if I blast Talking Heads while I study I wouldn’t get anything done because I’d be too busy dancing and bopping to your sweet tunes!!!
But maybe I’ll celebrate when I’m done with my Exam by continuing my Talking Heads-a-thon afterward.

Yeah, I understand… Today, remarkably enough, I managed to not only resist the irresistible dancewaves (I get WIiIiiiIiIiLd – It’S AuToMatIc) but also to take a whole exam whilst listening to a Heads album that I’ve never heard before. It was quite the feat. Normally I can’t even listen to Heads or new music while doing Important Brainwork.
So I’ve listened to all of TH’s studio albums now, at least once, but I think it’s safe to say I was only half listening much of the time and will certainly need to listen further.

Sorry if I’m absent from the forum for a while. I’ll probably be face down in the dirt for 6-8 months.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Was:Talking Heads – True Stories (1986)
Talking Heads – Naked (1988)When I’ve finished this album I will be able to say I have listened to all eight of Talking Heads’ studio albums in order in one day. Long overdue.
…and I’m 30+ years overdue for hearing all three of those post-“Tongues” Heads albums! I should remedy that soon…
And speaking of catching up on Bebu-approved sounds, I’m finally go listen to “Lodger” in full. It’s my duty!

A demo of an angsty song I wrote approximately two months/several lifetimes ago, and my ego is cringing but objectively it’s rather good and maybe I should revisit it, pretending it’s an obscure Pink Floyd cover and I didn’t write it about my deep dark fee-fees at the time

Haha didn’t you call them “better than the Beatles!” or something similar last year?
