Following Von Bontee’s upload of Zon’s “Point of View/ Where to Spend My Dollar?”, I decided to check out the whole “Astral Projector” album. It’s pretty cool, but I think that the production is a little too evident with the vocals sounding a bit unnatural at times. Still, a pretty good album worth checking out.
I’m thinking of listening to Van Morrison’s “Astral Weeks” soon, as I’ve heard it’s a pretty good album.

Such a sad song sung in such a happy way…
He wrote her name in the sand
Never even let go of her hand
Somehow they stayed that way
For those 5 days in May

Mood. The bassline is *chef’s kiss fantastique! It’s one of the many Paul basslines that makes me want to pick up and learn bass so badly just so I can have fun playing them……. It’s such a sweet sweet song and I love it so much– every time I listen to it I just want to get up and groove.
Also, I’m very intrigued by the background image of this video– is Paul wearing a Hawaiian shirt? If so, does this mean he has achieved maximum Dad energy? Has Paul achieved final Dad form????
Anyhoo–
Now: “Silly Love Songs” (because y’all got it stuck in my head and I have to dance now dammit )

Mystery Girl — Roy Orbison (1989)
Happy Birthday , Roy!
I forgot that this was a posthumous release and now I feel kinda sad. He would’ve been 84 today.

Cool, I’ll have to listen to some of his Wilburys tunes today. (As well as some Shakespeare.)
he’s a Taurus? That makes perfect sense, such an unassuming guy but what a fricking voice
Currently listening to Muse – Origin of Symmetry (2001)
