Vera Chuck and DaveI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Led Zeppelin – Presence (1976)
with all the talk of the album in the Zepp thread, and the fact that I’m wearing green and black today and the album seems like a green and black album to me for some reason (don’t ask – my brain works in mysterious ways), I just had to get it out

“Whis-kers!!”
Earlier: Tanita Tikaram’s “Everybody’s Angel”, Ron Nasty’s coronavirus album of the day. To my ears, a bit more conventional-sounding album than some of the previous entries in the series; the Memphis/Morrison nods were present as noted. Nice. And it’s about time someone wrote an ode to hot pork sandwiches.

After some delay, I’m back on track with my third instalment of the Kate Bush discography, starting off with 1993’s The Red Shoes. Not one of her more popular albums, but one with at least a few gems that I’m looking to become more familiar with.
Before this, I was listening to an early Beatles playlist I made this afternoon.

Had a listen of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Skeleton Tree before I went to sleep. Listened to a playlist of LCD songs this morning, and now I’m on Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly whilst browsing the forum.

Having had ‘Kill Vs Maim’ in my playlists for months, I finally got round to giving Grimes’ Art Angels a listen, and ended up playing it twice. Very interesting take on pop with loads of detail and unusual elements, and one that I’m definitely going to be returning to.
