Bodacious cowboys, such as your friends, will never be welcome here..
Steely Dan – Gaucho
for all The Dan fans out here, if you’ve never heard “The Bear” from the Gaucho sessions, Its one of their all time funkiest tunes. I’ll probably play the sessions after I finish the album.
However listening to live Simon and Garfunkel as well as reading some of my fellow Dylan Fan’s music choices, I could go for a ‘64 live show next.

Listened to Stevie’s Songs in the Key of Life twice in a row and now on my second listen of Innervisions. I think I’m going to go for Talking Book next.
Write a review for me! I’ve been avoiding doing so for days…
“Talking Book” is wonderful, may be my favourite of that 1972-76 run. (“Key” can be a bit bloated – 100 minutes of music on 31 inches of vinyl! (Surely rock’s only 2 1/2 album set that maybe should’ve been only a double?)
I really liked Innervisions , particularly ‘Living for the City’, ‘All in Love is Fair’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Bout A Thing’. I somewhat agree with Key – there are about 5 or 6 songs that could be trimmed in my opinion, but even with them its still fantastic.

Von BonteeI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Terrible “Helter Skelter ” cover, but at least it’s better than Motley Crue’s…
Motley Crue’s two biggest crimes against humanity are their covers of Smokin In the Boys Room and Anarchy In the U.K.
U2’s is the utter audacity to title a song God (Part II). Bono kind of lost me right there.
What is happening? And tell me how you've been.

I wonder if we are currently the only people on earth vibing on Moe Tucker.
Dingle Lad said
I honor her work but she’s one of those who’s politics are horrible. It makes it hard (but not impossible) for me to vibe on her
I had no idea @Dingle Lad. I’m not sure I even knew she was still alive. Occasionally I read stories about Nico in the comments section of a Jackson Browne forum, which make me vibe on Moe and company.

Was: Myself singing attempting to sing but actually screeching, injured-feline-style, “Friends” by Led Zeppelin, while wishing I were either deaf or actually 21-year-old Robert Plant.
Am: hours… (1999) by David Bowie, sans the opening track because I need to stay awake today.

I really need to listen to more Talking Heads. It’s just that I usually listen to music when I’m doing things, and when I listen to Talking Heads’ stuff, I can’t do anything else but dance idiotically.

Lol same. I’ll be listening to them while doing chores and I’ll just be grooving while washing dishes and there’s been this one occasion where I was walking my dog and the streets were empty and “Girlfriend Is Better” came on and I, naturally, immediately started busting a (bad) move. My dog was severely judging me….and then my neighbors saw me, in the streets, dancing like an idiot and mouthing the lyrics to myself. *sigh*

I have been known to spend copious amounts of time conspicuously Not Washing Dishes and dancing madly round the kitchen so now I just don’t listen to TH while Actually Washing Dishes.
