Yep. @lovelyritametermaid queue up behind @Jules, you can join the “Let’s Get Into Radiohead Together” party led by Radiohead veteran (jk I’m a relatively new fan) Beatlebug.
It would’ve been fun but I wouldn’t start with OK Computer.
I would go Pablo Honey and then chronologically. I even want to eat up their “bad albums” as well. Puts everything in perspective.

Just to be clear, I have no problem with any individual word – it was the way they were arranged, without any context as to the rest of the lyrics, or the subject of the song. (I don’t know Kanye’s work barely at all – need to remedy!) Like, aside from just being graphic, they could as easily have been suggestive of sexual assault, as opposed to just sexytimes hotdirty pillow-talk (which I presume is the case.)
What is the point if I’m not gonna put the rest of the lyrics in. Anyone can go and Google the song and learn about what it’s about. It’s not like Kanye says “I’m gonna f*ck you hard on the sink, after that give you something to drink” and right after that he says “by the way this is not sexual assault”. If I have to clarify it it fails at being funny and provocative. I prefer not to put it at all.
It’s provocative on its own either way. I don’t find the couplet particularly clever or funny, but whatever. *shrug*

Your lack of sense of humour is not my fault. I took the signature out, what else do you want?

Dude, what’s your problem?? I asked you to think about changing your slogan, you did, and I hit the thank button and explained my objections. I don’t “want” anything else other than to drop this matter.
As for my sense of humour, I have an excellent one, thank you; and also two “Funniest post/Creative Contribution” awards for two consecutive years, as voted by the lovely people on this forum. The medals speak for themselves!
This matter is over.

To me the issue with your signature was that it sounded rapey. You can say that I’m taking it out of context but you offer no context. If you want that statement to speak for you it doesn’t show well about your personality.
In any case, thanks for changing it. Self censorship is not necessarily a bad thing. As my Grandma used to say, “Don’t get your butt in an uproar.

^ I agree. I’m a big Kanye fan, and am familiar with the humour in his lyrical style, but not everyone is the same, and in any case this forum is generally a much more wholesome place than that. Let’s move on.

Have to finally sit and listen to MMF myself shortly, preferably with Ron Nasty’s footnotes…
Right now…the Queen herself. Brand new decade, brand new sound; the 70s were gone, along with any traces of “disco” in Summer’s music. It’s still got big beats (welcome to the 80s!) occasionally suitable for dancing, but the dominant instrumental sound is full-on meat-&-potatoes FM rock; guitars are most prominent. 10 regular individual songs, no epic 17-minute suites, and not a trace of the post-Kraftwerk electronica – which is disappointing, but maybe Moroder/Bellotte/Summer figured that Side 4 of “Bad Girls” was their ultimate statement in that genre.

“Mixed -Up Confusion” should’ve been on an album!

Listened to Stevie’s Songs in the Key of Life twice in a row and now on my second listen of Innervisions. I think I’m going to go for Talking Book next.

Write a review for me! I’ve been avoiding doing so for days…
“Talking Book” is wonderful, may be my favourite of that 1972-76 run. (“Key” can be a bit bloated – 100 minutes of music on 31 inches of vinyl! (Surely rock’s only 2 1/2 album set that maybe should’ve been only a double?)
