David Bowie – The Buddha of Suburbia (1993)
After yesterday’s excessive Led-getting-out I feel the need for a long-overdue Bowiebinge to assist my homework (extended spring break was fun while it lasted). Buddha is such a springy album. Perfect for today.

I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

^How I feel about Billie Eilish also Steven Wilson is definitely big brain, he’s a depressive prog rocker who unironically likes pop music.
Anyway, because of Rita’s signature, I’m listening to

Here We Go Again – by the master.
Have I ever said how much I love this song? Yes, many times. I love the cynicism and trace of humour it has which perfectly applies to these lockdowns. “Wondering how it all began, wondering will it ever end.”
And of course, one of my favourite Lennon moments EVER, the cynical inversion of I Want To Hold Your Hand : “So I say hello again, and no one gives a damn, and nobody wants to hold your hand, everyone’s an also ran.”
Those lyrics, John’s choice and the melody….bliss.

Listening to a live version of Prince’s Illusion, Coma, Pimp, & Circumstance
Wow, I have no idea what that is…I think when I’m done my Stevie Wonder chronological binge, I should move on to Prince…
Anyways, since it comes in between “Music of My Mind” and “Talking Book,” I’m listening to the 1972 debut album by Syreeta Wright (the then-Ms. Stevie Wonder)…
…which I decided to love immediately upon seeing the Zeppish typeface. And it’s pretty lovable, and lovely; she’s got a nice light timbre, and Stevie adds some of his new electronic innovations here and there, including a gimmicky talkbox singing the Lennon parts on a “She’s Leaving Home ” cover.

As many of you may know by now, I am a huge fan of sessions and outtakes. As a musician, I love hearing the process behind the music that I love. I’ve been listening to Steely Dan’s Aja and Gaucho, and was able to find Gaucho sessions through online forum, and after a long night of searching, I’ve punched my ticket into the legendary Aja sessions. Here we F’ing GO!

^How I feel about Billie Eilish also Steven Wilson is definitely big brain, he’s a depressive prog rocker who unironically likes pop music.Anyway, because of Rita’s signature, I’m listening to
Did not realize that @lovelyritametermaid had that signature. Awesome stuff. I would be remised if I did not post this cover from one of my favorite bands
