Argh, I tried my best to cry but I just couldn’t do it I’m horrible at crying, I get really emotional but tears simply don’t happen. Most of the time I don’t mind, but sometimes I wish I could just sob it out like normal people.
I’m listening to ‘No Plan‘, David’s song from the other side that gave me closure after listening to Blackstar for the first time last year, and a fitting way to wrap up these musically hectic last three days.

I have these sessions. My favorite is definitely the Everly Brothers cover All I Have To Do Is Dream. George’s guitar work throughout is fantastic

I’ll be highlighting a few performances over in the LIB 50th Speculation thread, @vonbontee @Von Bontee, when I’m a day or two further in.
The important thing with the Nagras for possible use is going to be how much Giles has been able to disentangle them: Mono whole room recordings, conversations nearer the Nagra mic often louder the music, cameramen and Nagra operators doing sound-to-light sync checks and spoken time markers, group vocals (especially John) often off-mic.
These are definite performance rehearsals, and when they hone in on newer songs, they are pretty much routining the songs, so an 11-minute I’ve Got A Feeling not as exciting as it might sound – much of it is them working on John’s “Everybody had a hard year” counter-melody and Paul’s “All these years I’ve been wandering around…” verse and that descending guitar line at the verse end.
