Jay-Z’s discography is now on Spotify, so I’m listening to his collaboration with Kanye, Watch the Throne. The first track, ‘No Church in The Wild’ has the coolest guest vocal from Frank Ocean.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I need to check out more of their stuff! Is there a particular album I should go with? I’ve really gotten into the Bad Seeds over the past couple of months, but mostly the later stuff, from Let Love In through to this year’s Ghosteen, so I’m still very much in the dark with regards to the 80s work.

Currently listening to quite a bit of Miles Davis “Sketches of Spain”. An incredibly wonderful album, featuring (in my opinion) Miles Davis lineup of musicians. Kudos has to be given to Miles himself, for playing numerous haunting yet beautiful solos on the album. Gil Evans should deserve some credit as well, for arranging and composing most of the songs on the album.
Personal highlights for me on the album are “Concierto de Aranjuaz: Adagio” and “The Pan Piper”.
We do a little trolling

Actually, until I played “Junkyard” for the first time some weeks ago, I’d never listened to an entire album, just a handful of isolated tracks. But their basic screeching-and-pounding sound seems familiar to me, because of the various 1980s American noise-punk bands (Pussy Galore, Scratch Acid, etc.) who I used to enjoy; and who were probably influenced by the Birthday boys.
Anyways, you’ve already heard more of Nick Cave’s expanded discography than I have, and I’ve known about the dude for 30+ years. You’re on your own!

Listening to Hunky Dory for the first time and w o w
Edit: I can’t get enough of “Queen Bitch” and “Oh! You Pretty Things” so after I finished the album I went back and I’m relistening to them
