John Lennon – Walls And Bridges for the first time, I don’t think I’ve ever listened all the way through it before. (Shameful I know. So much music, so little time…)
I haven’t finished South Of Reality yet but I will, I was quite impressed by ‘Blood and Rockets’.

Still in mid-60s prog-jazz listening mode…

Listening to the Danny Brown album, uknowwhatimsaying? . It’s kind of reminding me of Radiohead’s In Rainbows.

BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Emitt Rhodes- Somebody Made For Me
YESSS great LP! He takes Paul’s “I can write/sing/play/record it all myself!” concept and produces a more satisfying (if far less eccentric) 1970 poprock album than his model did.
Now listening to “Come And Get It : The Best of Records” – which I still wish had included “Hey Jude “/”Revolution “, just to complete that “First Four”. (Plus it was the biggest darn seller the label ever had, after all.)

This album has a strong nostalgia for me, and the effects always particularly enhanced in the spring and autumn.

I’m afraid it was actually just the song- all Apple Music has of Emitt Rhodes is some huge compilation album. It’s a shame. Great song though.
Ah yes, I see the 1969-73 collection, that’s the thing I’ve got. It’s his first three albums (the debut being the classic, with your song) plus an earlier never-released one. (I recall a long-ago pudlian asking about it…Ben Ramon maybe? Anyways, it’s good.)

One of my new flatmates is a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, so I’m listening to their 1975 self titled album per his recommendation.
