Muse – Simulation Theory (2018)
Being a futuristic, ’80s-synth-heavy sci-fi album about AI and virtual reality, it is totally inappropriate listening for reading Middle English poetry… which is precisely why I’m listening to it while reading Middle English poetry.

This rather beautiful demo of ‘Silly Love Songs’.

Tangerine, Von Bontee, BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

That’s probably my favorite track from the archive. And now I’m listening to it.

Too funny. Though who else listens to the Paul archive demo tracks, especially ones from 5 years ago? Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if only BBers or non officiated super Beatles fans listened to YouTube postings of most of the tracks on the studio album apart from Silly Live Songs and Let Em In.

My faaaaavourite Replacements song. I have a feeling Beatlebug might like this one{‘Androgynous’}
Lol
Speaking of Androgyny Dominé, I went to a dance last night where I danced every dance alternating between leading (gent) and following (lady) roles, as if keeping left and right straight weren’t already hard enough. Trying to stave off that Alzheimers you know
Currently listening to ‘Let It Happen’ by Tame Impala.

Released on this day in 1991: Tin Machine – Tin Machine II
Yesterday was the release anniversary of Bowie’s Tonight (which confused the heck out of me when I got the calendar notification saying, ‘Tonight (today)’ ), but I couldn’t bring myself to force that album on my ears.

Great great band…I like how they called the album “Let It Be ” and took the cover photo on a rooftop! (kinda)
