I woke up with ‘5:15 the Angels Have Gone’ in my head and it’s very overcast, kind of like the song, so I’m going to be listening to it for a while…

@Shamrock Womlbs’s favourite Pink Floyd album, released on this day in 1969
Pink Floyd – More (1969)
Hardly a gem in their discography but it has some very pleasant numbers, perfect for a mellow summer’s day. ‘Cirrus Minor’ and ‘Green Is The Colour’ are two of my favourite Floyd songs from my favourite Floyd era.

Von BonteeI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

For those who remember a few weeks ago when I asked for advice about which album to buy next in LP format, I’d like to congratulate @Beatlebug as I did go with Bowie’s wonderful Low, and that is what I am listening to now. Admittedly, I would have gone for Hounds of Love or both, but I couldn’t find it in the record shop.

Just my average Friday afternoon…
@TheWalrusWasBrian we’ve really done a very thorough job on this one, haven’t we?
I had to listen to a lot of Pink Floyd earlier — I just needed it today.

I’ve always loved Sound and Vision, but I think this one (and Warszawa) has become my new favourite on Low, which I have been spinning non stop The melody just sounds so wild and cathartic.

In addition to those, I think my personal favourites (right now — I just listened to it last night) are What In The World, Always Crashing In The Same Car, ANCIANT, and Subterraneans. Also the rest of the album too, as well.
Currently listening to @50yearslate I mean Reality.

Oops, looks like I forgot to link the song I was talking about It was A New Career In A New Town, as you said. A very beautiful one, and I believe the harmonica is featured on I Can’t Give Everything Away, the last song on Blackstar

Ah, I wondered I assumed you were referring to Sound and Vision.

Indeed it is, and the first time I listened to it* that harmonica really got me
*also the last. I haven’t quite been able to bring myself to go through that emotional roller-coaster of an album since — it hasn’t felt like the right time. Maybe Halloween I’ll play it and have myself a little seance in the dark
On-topic: I started Let It Be this morning and only got to One After 909 so I’m going to finish it now.
